Another Love

Chapter 9

"Sister Tay'ra!" All the kids shouted out as they ran to her, to hug her.

"Hello" she smiles at them.

"You were amazing up there!" Oräya says.

"Thankyou. So much. I couldn't have done it without your support" Tay'ra smiles.

She looks up, seeing Jake stood behind.

They both look at one another.

"Hey" he says softly.

"Hi" she looks at him, as her cheeks began to feel hot slightly, "did you enjoy it? The performance?"

Jake nods, "it was great. You were.. amazing" Jake says.

"He said you were beautiful!" Tëy shouts.

Jake looks at Tëy, almost as though he was telling Tëy to shut up.

Tay'ra looked down shyly as she looked back up, at Jake, "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"Well, I-"

Jake and Tay'ra are interrupted as her other friends, along with Rawm himself, approach them.

"You were great out there" Rawm says, "apart from when I made you nervous."

"You didn't.." Tay'ra says.

"Are you sure? You began to stutter a little" Rawm says.

Tay'ra shakes her head no.

Rawm's friend then looks to Jake, "why are you here?"

Tay'ra looks at him.

"I'll see you later" Jake says to Tay'ra.

As he is seen to walk away from the group, Tay'ra holds onto his wrist to stop him, making him turn back around.

"Jake, these are some of my friends" She introduces the girls, before looking to Rawm, and his friend, "as for the them, they are simply just mutuals.

"Really? Mutuals?" Rawm says.

Tay'ra nods.

"I'm so sick of this- I need a drink" Rawm sighs as him and his friend walk away.

Jake gives a little wave to Tay'ras' friends.

"This is Deiya, this is Zo'ile" Tay'ra tells him their names.

"This is Jake Sully. My friend" Tay'ra says.

"I have been waiting to say this because I have seen you around Jake, but oh my gosh your muscles are amazing!" Zo'ile shouts in excitement.

Tay'ra laughs, "she is my lively friend."

Jake nods and smiles, "you all did very well."

"I'm guessing Tay'ra was your favourite" Deiya says.

The three of them turn to look at her.

"Well, we all saw the way you were both looking at one another" Deiya says.

Zo'ile nods repeatedly, looking back at Tay'ra, "it is quite funny because Rawm wants Tay'ra but she does not like him. Deiya likes him."

"Zo'ile!" Deiya slaps her arm.

But Zo'ile continues anyways, "She calls him a hunky man. However, Tay'ra says that she thinks you are very good looking but she is afraid because you already had your chance at love and well-"

"Zo'ile. That's enough" Tay'ra says.

Tay'ra laughs nervously, as she looks at Jake, "ignore her. She has probably drunk something."
