Chapter 12

"So.. I am guessing this will be our meet up place" Jake laughs as they return back to the lake.

"It has always been the place I had come to, alone. But now that I have found a friend like you, it will be our meet up place" Tay'ra agrees.

Jake looks at her and smiles.

She looks back at him.

"Why do you look at me that way?" Tay'ra asks.

"I'm not sure. You just.. make me nervous" Jake shrugs.

"Me? I am not that scary to make a man nervous" Tay'ra says.

"Not scary, no" his voice shrifts off as his eyes land on her lips. As she speaks, he can't help but look at them.

Remembering the occurrence just earlier on. Of how close he was getting, to kiss her.

"Jake?" He hears her voice clearly again, making him look back into her eyes.

"Oh yes, sorry" Jake shakes off his thoughts.

"Let's begin" Tay'ra says.

Since that night, Tay'ra and Jake had decided to meet up every night, in order to help her get skills of becoming a warrior and being able to learn certain skills.

It wasn't easy, considering that Tay'ra would not hunt. However, she had improved on her skills at being able to shoot an arrow, without missing the target.

"Jake! Jake look!" Tay'ra shouts in excitement, as she jumps, along with his bow in her hand.

"You did it!" Jake laughs.

"I did it!" Tay'ra shouts.

"Do it again" Jake gives her another arrow.

Tay'ra takes the arrow, confidently making her way to get it through the string of the bow.

She positions herself, holding the bow and arrow up.

"Wait" Jake says as he comes forward to her.

He uses the palm of his hand, pressing onto her stomach gently.

She looks up at him.

Jake then taps her left thigh, that was positioned to be the back leg, whilst her right was positioned to be in front.

"Move this leg back a little" he tells her.

She nods, moving her leg back, waiting for Jake to give the next instruction.

Jake observes her for a moment before getting closer again.

He concentrates as he positions her arms so that they are perfect.

But Tay'ra is focused on him instead, watching him. Seeing how concentrated he was to make sure he gets her posture right.

"There" he whispers and smiles before looking back at her, only to see her eyes already on him.

He leans down towards her, giving her a seductive laugh as he whispers, "am I that handsome?"

"I just-" her words get taken right out of her mouth. How could she deny it. Of course he was handsome.

Jake laughs, "don't lose concentration now."

She nods, looking away from him and back to her target.

Tay'ra let's go, letting the arrow hit the target.

She smiles, along with Jake, who smiles at her.

"See? I got it!" Tay'ra shouts.
