Another Love

Chapter 2

Jake is making his way towards the water, where he sees Tay'ra with her students.

He sees one of the kids trying to get on to the ilu by himself, whilst Tay'ra and the other kids were stood, cheering him on.

Jake smiles, finding the moment quite innocent and heartwarming.

Tay'ra looks up and sees Jake standing.

She gestures her hand, telling him to come.

"Come" she speaks out as she does so.

Jake walks towards her slowly, feeling awkward as he sees other people watching him.

His awkwardness causes his toes to curl into the sand placed under the sea that he was currently walking on.

He gets closer to Tay'ra.

"Are you okay? You seem tense" Tay'ra says.

"No no. I'm okay" Jake replies.

"Who is this?" Oräya asks, looking up at Jake.

"His name is Jake Sully" Tay'ra says.

"His tail is different" Tëy calls out as he's stood behind Jake.

"Tëy that is bad manners. Do not" Tay'ra says.

"Sorry" Tëy moves away from Jake quickly.

Tay'ra then looks at the kids, "I will teach you again tomorrow. I have told you everything you need to learn for tomorrow."

"Yes sister Tay'ra!" They shout in excitement.

They all run to hug her, pushing Jake away a little. 

Tay'ra laughs as she tries her best to put her arms around them.

"Go now. I will see you tomorrow" Tay'ra says.
They all run off, away from the sea.

"They seem to be very fond of you" Jake says to Tay'ra.

She nods, "I teach the children here so they are more familiar to me than anyone else."

"It is nice. Seeing you teach them" Jake says.

"I teach them. We sing songs together, play games together" Tay'ra says.

"You sing?" Jake asks.

Tay'ra nods, "it is my way of connecting not only with the children, but with Eywa."

"I must say it is a very unique way to do so" Jake says.

Tay'ra nods, "well we all have our own ways."

"Tay'ra!" She hears Ronal shout.

"My sisters way is by shouting" Tay'ra mutters under her breath but loud enough for Jake to hear.

He smiles but covers it when he realises Ronal is walking to them.

"Why are you just standing here? You have work to do" Ronal says.

"It takes time to learn sister. Do not rush" Tay'ra says.

"You have not even begun" Ronal says.

"Because I am trying to create a bond. A friendship. I am getting to know him, that way it is easier to teach him. It is more comfortable for him" Tay'ra says.

"This is not about being comfortable. This is about getting the job done" Ronal says.

"And I will. This is not your thing to teach, do not interfere" Tay'ra says.

"You can never just do as you are told, can you?" Ronal asks.

"Ronal. Why are you bothering your sister. Let her teach him the way that she wants to. She has been doing this for many years, she knows what she is doing" Tonowari says.
