Chapter 20

Melonie POV

"You need to eat!" I pleaded with MinRa. She hasn't said anything to us nor ate anything for one whole month. It's concerning me. She's going to either starve or she's going to go crazy because of how hungry shes getting. All I get from her is a cold, heartless stare at me and then she's back to staring at the floor.
"Still nothing?" Sunny asked as she walked in with Hana in her arms. Hana is growing up so fast, literally. She looked like she is 3-4 month old while she's only a month old. Sunny explained to me how she's going to grow extremely fast until she reaches the age of 18. It made me think of my nephews. I still need to see them and Kangdae, give them some type of closure, if they don't freak out too much from seeing me. I miss them so bad. "Melonie?"
"A-ah sorry. A lot is going on right now." I admitted.
"I know honey." She gave me a little hug. "Things get worse before they get better. Don't lose hope. You can always talk to Sungmin or I. We love you like one of our own, you know that right?"
"Of course!" I smiled and looked at Hana who was waking up from sleeping soundly in Sunny's arms. Her round eyes looked everywhere but at us, sometimes I forget that she's blind. Well partially blind but when she's being carried she cant see a thing. "Hello baby Hana. Did you have a good nap?" I stroked her cheeks which freaked her out at first but then she realized who I was and she faced in my general direction.
"Yes you did and now it's time to go eat right!" Sunny cooed Hana. Hana smiled which meant she was really happy.
"She must be really hungry!" I laughed.
"Do you think you can ask Sungmin if he caught that squirrel that I told him to get earlier?" She asked.
"Yeah sure where is he?" I asked.
"He should be in the office." She said and cuddled Hana to her chest. "Say goodbye to Melonie and MinRa." She told Hana and left the room.
"Please try to live. We need you, N needs you." I told her and gave her a kiss on the head. I left the room and shut it, giving a heavy sigh.
"You ok?" Max asked. He was walking down the hallway with U-Know and Kyuhyun.
"Yeah im fine." I lied but gave them the best smile I could give.
"She's not eating yet?" Kyuhyun asked. I shook my head.
"Don't worry. She's a fighter. She will come to her senses soon. Give her time." U-Know smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Thanks." I said and walked past them down the stairs. I went over to the study to see Sungmin looking down at a map with a frown. "Hey."
"Oh, hi! Did MinRa start talking again?" he asked and walked around his desk to lean on the front.
"No she didn't."
"I wish I could do something for her. And for Sulli and Krystal." He sighed and disappointment filled his eyes.
"You're doing everything you can by keeping us safe. That's all they need right now." I told him.
"Yeah." He went into deep thought. Something must be wrong or worrying him.
"Are you ok?" I asked. He's really out of it.
"Sorry. Im just thinking about something."
"What is it?"
"We need to relocate. I just don't know where we can without getting spotted by anyone." He went over to his desk and looked at the map he was staring at before. Relocate? Why would we need to do that? I thought that this place was protected. "It is. While I was hunting for baby food I saw that there was a bunch of Vampires out in the woods and not just the size of our clan but it was people from other clans as well. If we don't move soon then we will be discovered and die and I cant let that happen."
"What can I do?" I asked immediately. I need something to do rather then be here all cooped up; I'm going crazy.
"I don't know. I don't want to risk anything."
"I can go. Please. I need to get out of here and do something before I become insane." Sungmin sighed and finally nodded. I finally was excited about something.
"But you're not going alone. MAX! U-KNOW! COME DOWN HERE I NEED TO SPEAK WITH YOU!" In a matter of seconds, those two came rushing in. U-Know looked a little worried.
"Everything fine?" He asked.
"Yeah I just have a favor to ask of you both. Do you mind going out with Melonie and I to look for someplace safer for everyone? I'm sorry to ask this of you but you both have the most experience in this type of stuff and im afraid that Mr. Lee got all the vampires against us."
"Yeah." Max exclaimed. He must have been thinking the same thing as me, we want to have a little freedom and stretch our legs.
"Anything to help." U-know told Sungmin.
"Alright. Take a look at this map." We started looking at the map for places that might be somewhat safe. This is going to take a while.

N POV

"I'm fine now really." I argued with Ravi who just didn't seem to get that I was ok. I've gained 15 whole pounds since they rescued MinRa and I. I say that's pretty dang good progress plus I need to see MinRa. They've kept me away from her this whole month and won't let me see her. They said that she may attack me for my blood but she wouldn't do that. The bond that we have between each other is so strong that she could keep herself from doing it. I just need to make sure my girl's ok.
"No you are not. You're still 97 pounds! You still have 51 more pounds to gain before you're back to how you used to be." I swear Ravi noticed things and nags more than my mother ever did. I rolled my eyes and laid back on the small bed I've been staying at.
"You don't understand how hard it is to stay away from someone you've mated with. It's like you're going to die before you see them. I feel like im going to go crazy if I don't see her at least for a second." Maybe he will listen to me.
"I really want to let you go man, I really do but it's way too dangerous." Oh my goodness. Why won't you listen to me Ravi.
"U-Um we need you downstairs." Tiffany stuttered from the doorframe. She looked like she saw a ghost or something. I wonder what's going on? Ravi and Tiffany left without saying anything so it's just me again in this empty room. There was a strange feeling building up inside my chest for a while now that I just cant seem to ignore. I had to follow my instincts before I really explode with this darn feeling.
I got up off the bed and crept over to the hallway. The good thing about being so thin is that your steps won't be as loud as before making, it easier to creep by. I tip toed over to MinRa's room and put my hand on the door knob. I felt so excited like when you know that the thing that you could die for and not live without is on the other side of that door and you don't know what to do with all the happy feelings that are inside. I want to see her smiling face, those cute plump lips, round brown eyes, and cute nose. I want to be able to hold her and tell her that we did it, we made it through and we are going to be fine. I want to tell her that I love her with everything in me and that there was no one that I could imagine my life being with because this is not just a mating thing but its real and it happening to us, I turned the door knob and took a deep breath. I walked into the room to find the total opposite of what I expected to see. MinRa was sitting in the corner if the room and staring a blank stare at the floor. Her hair was knotted everywhere and she didn't have her usual glow. Her eyes had bags under them and her cheeks were colored in blood which I suspect to be from her crying. She didn't even flinch when I walked through the door. She just looked down and didn't even blink.
"MinRa?" I asked as I managed to choke back tears that wanted to escape. She turned her head to look at me and didn't even change her expression. It was so dead looking, lifeless, like a corpse. I looked at the corner of the room to see a couple of dead animal there, piling up on top of one another. So she hasn't been eating at all. I walked over to her and she kept eye contact on me the whole time, not blinking or anything as I walked up to her. "You haven't been eating have you?"
She stared back at me with a blank look. I wonder what she is thinking right now or why she isn't even talking.
"MinRa you need to eat." I walked over to the corner and picked up a rabbit that seems somewhat fresh and held it out to her. "Eat." I demanded. She immediately looked down and didn't give the rabbit a second look. How could she be doing this to herself. Anger boiled down inside me and I couldn't help but lose my temper.
"Damn it MinRa! Why are you being like this?" I raised my voice slightly. "You're being so selfish right now you know that! This is when your friends need you the most. So much crap has happened to the both of us and I get that but we need to move on and do something about it. Killing yourself is not going to fix any problem and it's not going to make it easier on anyone else. Did you know that 3 people died trying to save us? Amber, Victoria, and Luna saved our butts and how do you thank them? By killing yourself over who they were saving. Jessica, Sulli, and Krystal are taking it really bad right now plus your sister. What do you think she's going to do when her little sister is gone. The only person she has in this world is gone and there was nothing she could do to save you. Also Melonie hasn't been truly happy in days. She's been working her butt off trying to help Sunny with the new baby and taking care of you and being there for the three that are mourning and don't get me started on everyone who went inside that building to get us out. You have so much people that love and care about you that will be permanently hurt if you keep doing this to yourself. Plus it hurts me. I don't want you to leave me. I love you with all my heart and if you die I may be going there with you too because without you my life seems like practically nothing." Tears were running down my face by this time and I couldn't help but yell. MinRa looked up at me with tears as well. She looked at me for a couple of seconds then started crying her eyed out. I put my arms around her and let her blood tears stain my shirt as she cried and cried. She would stop in the middle and eat some food that was in the corner but after a couple of sips she was back to a bawling mess.
"I-I-I l-love you t-too." She croaked as she wept. I pulled her tighter into my chest to make sure she felt the love that she desperately needed. I have my MinRa back.
