Written by Trevor Mhlanga (Edited by Kudakwashe Nhlanhla Chikosi)
I understand that words are not full expression
They run out and hide away
Sometimes you just get the temptation
To say the same word in a different wayYou may change the tone, raise the pitch
And still find yourself too far
To get right the pattern you are trying to stitch
Horribly and distressingly farIt's the things you don't say that I hear
They are often the opposite of what you say
But tell the whole truth I fear
And make the facade you show to decayWhat an irony that you claim to be frank
Yet hide the truth about how you truly feel
But the words you don't say I have to thank
Cause they actually tell what is realWords are but mere tools we use
To express the depths of our soul
But sometimes they just confuse
And fail to make us feel wholeActions speak louder than words they say
And they often reveal the truth
No matter how hard we try to sway
Our actions betray us, uncouthSo don't be afraid to show your heart
Even if your words fall short
For in the end, it's not just art
But actions that will be the final report
