"You're kidding me, Piastri. A fucking beach!"
Oscar frowned at my excitement but it immediately faded into a grin and a slight laugh. I pushed open the car door as the sun reflected the sea, the waves flowing smoothly across the layers of the lovely colours of blues displayed. He locked the car as I skipped down to the sand, my hands swinging by my side. I buried my hands into the soft and warm sand as I knelt down on it, Oscar chuckling and appearing right beside me.
"I haven't been to a beach in absolutely years!" I smiled up at him as I stood up and patted my clothes. The sand and dirt immediately fell off. "You win. I'll give you my number. After one more thing. Just one more and I won't annoy you anymore."
"Okay, what is it?" He snorted, shoving his hand into his trouser pocket and fishing his wallet out. "I have a feeling I have to pay for it with my own money at this point."
"Get some ice-cream," My childish personality revealed itself to him as he nodded and grinned. "One vanilla please."
"Alright," Oscar jogged across to the wooden platform where a small ice-cream shop stood. "I don't understand how you can wear such short jeans in this weather. It's not even warm enough." I shrugged as he handed me my ice-cream as I stuck out my tongue to taste the cold feeling. Sweetness melted in my mouth as Oscar shoved his phone into my pocket, grinning. "Give me that number of yours after you finish. You did promise, right?"
"Mm," I ignored his question as I finished up my ice-cream. Oscar bent down and wiped the stains off of my cheek as I turned red, realising how close we were. "You were smooth back there, Piastri. You know how to win most girls' hearts."
"Did I then?" He asked. "I'm not so good with girls, to be honest, if you were looking back at my 'asking people out' history, it might not have been so good back then. You would be expecting something worse than now."
"Should we go back now?" I asked, entering my number into his phone as he nodded. "Aw. I was wishing for a private beach photoshoot here."
"Photoshoot, did you say?" Oscar had turned around to walk back to the car, but swished around almost immediately and raised an eyebrow. "I'm pretty good at taking photos. Can I try just once? Please, Ali?"
"I-" I considered it for a moment. "Maybe. Fine."
"I will take a good one." The tone of mischeviousness appeared as I giggled. "Pose."
