Mum's words spurred closely in my mind as I sat on the plane.

She'd been furious with me and Oscar having sex on Christmas night, as Oliver had snitched on us after he'd heard what had been going on in our bedroom. Dad's reaction was just plain, as if he didn't care what had happened. Lando looked completely confused at the both of us, not knowing what to say. Flo had tapped her fingers on the table boringly and Cisca rolled her eyes at Mum's ranting.

"Mum, as if we haven't lost our virginity!" Flo exclaimed. "You know me and Cisca lost ours at the age of 21, and Oli lost his at 20. All except for Lando. Be fair over here." It just angered Mum even more, and kept on about her kids' safety awareness. Oscar shot me awkward glances every few seconds.

After New Years, we decided to book a flight back to Monaco with Lando, who had been desparate to get out of the house ever since the little rant Mum had. Dad looked relieved that he didn't need to manage more Sim Race Losses, while Flo and Cisca were adamant about us leaving so early. Them and Oli were staying for just a few more days before deciding if they'd leave or not.

"We'll miss you," Cisca smiled and gave me a big hug. "Keep me and Flo updated on Oscar daily now!" I rolled my eyes at her tone. Oli shook Oscar's hand before shoving him into the taxi without an apology. Lando loaded in the suitcases and items. Mum waved us goodbye, as the taxi headed off towards Heathrow Airport.

All of us needed a good disguise to return to Monaco. Luckily we had our First Class Tickets, where Lando had a personal seat by the window which had a bed, and me and Oscar shared one bed together. After pushing the hand luggage under the mini tables, he shook his shoes off and collasped straight on the bed.

"You okay, Osc?" I asked, taking my shoes off as well and shutting the panels by the side. He nodded blankly, closing his eyes and facing the other side. I sighed, clearly annoyed while turning the TV on, putting on Drive To Survive. "Oscar?" But my boyfriend was already sound asleep, calmly sleeping through the launch. I smiled at his face, just so peaceful.

I had just realised the amount of time we'd gone through together. Just last year a few months ago, I'd been in a coma for being hit by a car. Then we started dating after the moment I had woken up, kissing him ever so that I had wanted. We'd just met a year ago in March, the first race of the season taking place.

He'd gone through something I'd gone through too.

You could say it was love at first sight. Looking back at it, we wouldn't have definitely believed that we would've dated about a month or two later into the year 2023. I would've said I was drunk or gone mad. I wouldn't have said that I would fall in love ever, considering what I had been through in high school.

I turned the TV off, listening to the calming sounds of the plane as we flew through the clouds. I suddenly felt a hand grasp my arm; it was Oscar. He pulled me down next to him, his eyes half open. "What're you thinking about?" He whispered, pulling me into a tight hug. I shut my eyes as well, feeling the warmth in his chest.

"Just thinking about the... pain we've been through together," I mumbled, kissing him gently on the lips. "You've been by my side almost the whole time ever since I woke up from my coma, Oscar. You've been with me the whole of 2023." But he'd already fallen asleep again, as I sighed and took the covers, pulling them over his chin.

"Hey, you guys okay?" Lando suddenly slid the panel apart, holding a packet of peanuts and biscuits in his hand. I nodded and took the snacks, slowly still stroking Oscar's head gently as he constantly twisted and turned, sweating hard. "He doesn't seem okay." I shook my head agreeing with Lando, as he returned to his place. I slid the panel back.

"Oscar," I whispered urgently. He muttered something, looking absolutely worried. "Oscar!" This time he jerked wide awake, gasping and spluttering. "Are you okay, love?" He shook his head shakily and hugged me tightly, not letting me go. "Oscar?"

"Don't ever leave me again, Ali," He panted, kissing my forehead. "Please don't. I love you to absolutely bits. Ali, swear it over your life." I went quiet and hesitant, as he gripped my shoulders tightly. "Please, Ali."

"I swear it on my life," I hugged him back tightly. "Now can you tell me what the dream was? Or are you just too shocked to tell me anything?" He shook his head sadly, passing his fingers through his wet hair. "Osc?"

"I said no," Oscar muttered. "I mean no."

"It's fine," I pulled his head towards me, kissing him on the lips. I felt the warmth of my lips travel towards his, as he smiled at the warmth, shutting his eyes in comfort. I felt him pull away, still cupping my face in his eyes.

*Oscar's POV*

I couldn't afford to tell her anyways.

I dreamt of her leaving the apartment, this time with another man. She was wearing the favourite set of clothes I always begged her to wear, and she dragged along boxes and suitcases with her. I couldn't remember what I had done, and the man was her ex. I begged for her to stay behind with me and give me another chance for whatever I'd done; she ignored my request and left coldly.

My worst fear was losing someone that I loved and cared about the most. I sensed that it was just a dream, but I couldn't help myself but just cry. What if I did lose her at the end of the line to some other boy? What if she didn't love me anymore by the time I did decide to propose to her? What if Ali got dragged away by some boy she didn't know?

"Oscar?" I felt her hand tug on my shirt sleeve, as I looked down at her. Ali made a begging face at me. "Can you sleep with me?" I smiled and nodded, pulling myself under the covers while hugging her tightly, kissing her forehead. "Can you tell me about the dream, Oscar?"

"I-I have to be ready first," I whispered back uncertainly. "It's best if you left it alone or just anything. I don't think you're ready to listen to it yet." Despite her protests, I kept my hand over her mouth until she decided to fall asleep.
