Arguements Solved

The sun shone brightly onto my face as I groaned.

The feeling of guilty spreaded over me as I realised what had happened yesterday. I still clearly remembered how Oscar had slammed the door behind him, the fight causing all sorts of problems. Maybe if I hadn't suspected him in the first place, we would totally be fine. But we weren't. Maybe if I didn't poke my head too deeply into his business he would still be next to me when I woke up.

But no.

Oscar was gone, out of the apartment. Nowhere to be seen, nothing had heard from him. There was just a few posts of him being happy over the podium in Silverstone, but nothing else. He hadn't mentioned our fight over the stupid meetings he had with that girl. I never asked him whether who she was first, straight on screamed at him.

My hunger washed over me once again as I rubbed my eyes, climbing out of bed and heading towards the toilet. I looked at myself in the mirror, and the reflection was a total disaster. I looked like mess. I quickly did my skincare routine and brushed my hair straightly, while pulling on a pair of short jeans and an orange crop top.

The phone rang loudly as I answered it quickly. "Hello?"

"Hey sis," Lando's voice popped through the reciever. "Can I maybe talk to Oscar? There's something we need to talk about, something about McLaren." I sighed and looked around the empty apartment, and tried to picture Oscar sitting on the sofa and playing FIFA. "Ali?"

"I-I'm sorry, Lan," I mumbled. "Me and Oscar had a fight yesterday, and he kind of left the apartment so we could have some space between us. I was hoping, you know... you would know where he was."

"I-I don't know where he is," Lando sounded guilty enough for me to feel bad for him instead of him. "I'll call you if I see him, alright? Cause me and Max are going out for some shopping. Food shopping."

I ignored him and hung up on him.

The truth was, I was angry at myself. I had suspected my own boyfriend because I hadn't asked him properly who that girl was. It was, in fact, just some fan he had planned to give out a free paddock pass to. In anger and confusion, Oscar left the apartment. I didn't know his whereabouts or the place he had gone off to.

I opened the front door to my food delivery, as the phone rang once again. This time it was Lando who answered the call. I quickly asked him about Oscar's disappearance, and his tone of excitement immediately faded.

"About that," Lando grunted. "Max separated from me while we were out for food, and he came back saying he saw Oscar. He looked a bit tired and desperate, so I guess you should talk to him at this point, Ali. He needs you."

"I don't need him, he doesn't need me," I wanted to hang up on him, but he stopped him first. "You're not going to hang up on me right now. Do you want me to come over for a while? You sounded upset when you answered the call." I didn't even realise that I was crying and tearing up from the second I heard his description of Oscar.

"It's fine, I might just-" The doorbell rang loudly over what I was about to say. I excused myself from the phone call angrily and threw open the door to find a tired and lonely Oscar, straight off collasping into my arms drunkenly. "Oscar!" He hummed in response, his arms tightening around me. "Love?"

"Mm... Ali..." He smiled lazily on my shoulder as I dragged him and his bags in. "You're so beautiful. Why did I ever start a fight with you? I took ten shots last night and this morning, too, for you." I stopped myself from bursting into tears, until he hugged me even tighter. "I love you. beautiful."

"Oscar... get to bed, you're tired," I pulled him towards our shared bedroom, pulling his clothes off and replacing them with some clean ones. By the time I returned with some water, his eyes were already shut and he was mumbling softly. I sighed and got on with him as well, ruffling his hair. "I love you too, Piastri." I laid down, pulling the curtains together once again.

The sound of groaning woke me up.

I opened my eyes slowly to find myself in my own bed again, this time my head throbbing with pain and dizziness. I laid my head back on the pillow, burying my face into it as I screamed curses. I heard an annoyed grumble from next to me: Ali. I'd forgotten all about her, the poor girl had possibly opened the door to find me all drunk and tired and annoying as soon as she woke up, probably didn't even have any breakfast yet.

The clock turned just eleven, which meant I did take more shots this morning. My brain suffered each time I tried to remember what had happened after I left the apartment. Ali had bags under her eyes. She must've hadn't had any sleep or just slept late, thinking I would come home to her again. My bags were plopped in the corner of the room, opened up. Ali had unpacked it all for me, considering I was already sound asleep by the time I was changed properly.

I was in my pyjamas. That was why I was so comfortable when I finally woke up. A glass of water stood on the bedside table next to me, as I gripped the glass and swallowed it all down with just one gulp. As I had set down the cup, Ali's head had drifted towards my direction, laying her head on my pillow. I slid down again, pulling her in towards me and the covers up towards our chins.

"O-Oscar," I realised she was talking in her sleep. I pulled my arms around her. "P-please don't leave me. I swear, Piastri." I knew it. She wasn't talking in her sleep. "Oscar Piastri, I dare you to not answer me."

"Fine, Ali," I whispered into her ear and kissed her gently, our lips finally touching again after that full night. "I promise." Her soft smile and the way she opened her eyes at me had gotten me flustered and all over her again.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."
