Class ended sometime ago and everyone’s gone home, but I’m still sitting here in class and thinking. It’s been a week since Emily told me about Daniels and Connor. It’s also been a week since Emily finally confessed to having a crush on Connor. I’m so happy for her. She hadn’t handled her last breakup well.

The douche cheated on her with one of her closest friends. Luckily the two got expelled after being caught having sex on the principal’s desk. How they got in there is still a mystery to the teachers, but they got caught by the surveillance cameras.

Emily never has to see those two again.
Anyway, back to the topic, Emily was right about those two dudes. They practically own this school. Everyone knows who they are. The girls follow them around like lost puppies. The boys are trying to act like them, but they’re failing miserably.

Connor is a flirt, like seriously, what kind of person flirts with ten or more girls at once, everyday. The number of girls increases the more he flirts. To tell the truth, it’s freaking annoying! Some of the drama queens actually feint.

Then there’s Daniels, he’s more on the quiet side, but he talks to Connor. The girls start giggling when he talks. It’s not cause it’s funny. Apparently to quote the girls’ words when they fawn over him, “his voice is so dreamy.”
Daniels may be silent, but there’s just something about him. How can I put this? He exudes danger. It’s as if, if someone harms him or anyone he cares about. That person would learn a lesson they will never forget.

Connor may be a flirt, but he also exudes danger. Those two boys are like fraternal twins, they are always together. They probably know each other inside and out. Connor talks more than Daniels, but sometimes Daniels talks to some of the boys. But like Emily said he never smiles.

People tend to overlook the amount of danger these two exude. I bet they are way more dangerous than the danger they exude. Everyone either ignores or doesn’t feel this danger because of how these two dudes look.
I am basically the only girl that isn’t attracted to these two. I love the fact that I’m not attracted to them. I may not understand true love, but I know that I love myself. That’s the love I understand.

Someone tapping on my desk broke my train of thought. I looked up and was surprised to see Connor Wilde looking at me.

‘Can I help you?’ I asked.

‘Are you okay? I’ve been calling out to you for the last thirty seconds and you’ve just been looking out the window and not saying anything.’ He actually looks worried. He’s nice.

‘Oh, sorry, I was just lost in thought. Do you want anything?’

‘No, I was just concerned. I’m Connor Wilde.’ He held out his hand for a handshake. I just looked at his hand for a few seconds before I shook it.

‘I know who you are, my friend told me about you and Daniels a week ago. I’m Ariel.’ I introduced myself.

‘How long have you been at this school?’ He asked.

‘About two years.’

‘You’ve been here, at this school, for two years, and you only found out about I and Aiden last week?’ He looked so shocked.

‘Well, yeah. What’s so shocking?’ I asked.

‘What’s shocking is that you’ve been here for two years yet you only found out about the two most popular guys in this school a week ago. I’ve never seen you before, otherwise I’d remember your face.’

I chuckled, ‘Is it so unbelievable that there is actually a girl at this school that doesn’t follow you around or have a crush on you?’ I asked.

‘Not really, just wanted to ask. What I can’t believe is that I’ve never seen your beautiful face anywhere. I’ve been around the entire school, yet I’ve never seen you.’ He explained.

‘That’s actually possible. I mostly stay to myself. To be honest, there’s only one person that knows where I go to be alone.’ I stated.

‘That makes sense. May I have your number?’

‘Why?’ I curiously asked.

‘To tell the truth, I’m actually happy that you’re not attracted to me. I can finally talk to a girl without having any sexual relationship with her. We’d just be friends.’ He answered.

I was a little shocked at his revelation, but I understand him. With all the girls fawning over him, he wasn’t able to trust any one of them to actually become his friend.

‘Before I agree, no flirting right?’

‘I can’t completely stop flirting. It’s basically a part of me now. I’ve been doing it for such a long time, but I can tone it down.’

‘So we’ll be one hundred percent friends right?’ I questioned.

‘Yes.’ He clarified.

‘Okay, fine with me.’ I shrugged and gave him my phone number. He saved it and texted me. I saved his phone number and showed him.

‘Just Connor? How about Alpha?’ he said.

‘Why would I name you Alpha?’

‘Because I’m strong, don’t you see these muscles?’ He began flexing his arms. Wow. What fun would it be if I just agreed with him?

‘What muscles are you referring to? I don’t see any.’ I smirked.

His jaw dropped, the action made his face look so funny that I couldn’t help but snap a picture of him in that state.

I made the picture his profile photo. By the time he came to his senses I had already tucked away my phone.

‘Is your ego okay now?’ I smiled tauntingly.
He put on a sad face. It looked so cute on him, ‘That was mean.’ He pouted. He is so cute.

‘You are so cute!’ I took a picture while he was pouting.

Connor burst out laughing then said, ‘Now, that’s something I’ve never been called before.’ I sent Connor the pictures I’d taken.

‘Those pictures are funny and cute. They show parts of you that you probably only show to those closest to you like Daniels and your family. I probably only saw those expressions cause you let your guard down. And plus, we’ve just met, meaning that this is only the beginning.’

He laughed again while looking at the pictures. ‘I look so silly in the first one. The second one does look cute. Please don’t show anyone these pictures. They’ll spread around the school like wildfire.’

‘Don’t worry, I can keep a secret. Your pictures are safe with me. They’re in an encrypted file.’ I assured him.

‘Thanks, I’m starting to feel good about this friendship. I’m gonna go, I have to hang out with Aiden, I’ll text you later.’ He said.

‘Have fun.’ I said.

‘I will. I enjoy annoying him too much. It’s the highlight of my day.’ He grinned and walked out.

I packed my stuff and walked back to the dorm room I share with Emily. Living at school is awesome, the only way one can be late is if they don't wake up on time.
