What just happened? Ariel has never called me Aiden before.

'Is she okay?' I ask Emily.

'Why do you ask?'

'Ariel has never called me Aiden before. Something's wrong.'

'All she said was that she feels suffocated, so she's gone back to our dorm.' Emily explained.

'Ok, I gotta go.' I said and walked away.

There's more to this than what she told Emily. And I'm gonna find out the truth. But I have no idea where her dorm is. I know it's at school, yes, but where at school it is? I have no idea.

All this time I thought we were bonding, becoming friends, maybe even more. The dickhead has been playing me. Laughing at me.
I never should have let my guard down. I saw the signs; him being rude in the beginning, how he questioned me as if I was some kind of spy.

'I'm such an idiot.' I laugh. At least it's not the first time this has happened. It won't hurt as much. I hope.

I'll call her. It goes straight to voicemail. I try again, and again, no answer. I walk back into the club and scan it looking for Emily. I see her at the refreshments table and approach her.

'Hey Emily.' I greet.

'Hi Aiden, what's up?'

'Can you call Ariel for me?' I ask.

'Why?' she questions curiously.

'She's not answering my calls.'

'Seriously? What'd you do?' she narrows her eyes.

'I don't know.'

'I'll call her.'

She dials Ariel's number and puts her phone on speaker.

'Hello.' Ariel answers.

'Hi Ariel. Is something wrong?' Emily asks.

'Nothing's wrong. Why do you ask?'

'Well, you've never called Aiden, Aiden before. And he says you're not answering his calls.'
Emily's statements were met with silence.

'Ariel. Are you still there?' Emily asks.

'Yeah.'

'What's wrong Ariel?' Emily asks

'Umm...... I'll tell you later. I have to go.' So something is wrong.

'Ariel.' I called.

'Da_Aiden?' I definitely did something, but what?

'What did I do wrong?'

'Nothing.' she lied.

'You're lying. Please just tell me.' I begged.

She sighed, 'I heard you talking to your friends.'
Talking to my friends? What? Then I remembered. Oh no.

'Ariel_'

'I have to go.' she cut me off.

'Wait.' Emily says. 'What did he say?'

'I'll tell you when you get here.' she says before she hangs up.

When Emily looks at me I can see the pure anger in her eyes.

'What did you say?' she asks furiously.

'I just told some guys that I don't see her as my friend.' I said.

'That wouldn't make her this upset.' she said.

'Well_'

'What did you say?' she says in an angrier voice.
