James and Lily's wedding

Grace couldn't be happier for her brother and friend. After everything they've been through and with the war lately, it was a nice to have something happy in the midst of it.

The wedding took place in the backyard of the Potter manor, a small yet special event for only those close to the bride and groom. That meant the marauders were there, grace and her friends, Lily's friends and of course Minnie was invited as well. And she came. Professor McGonagall attended her former students wedding with a smile and congratulated them before giving them gifts and her best wishes.

Unfortunately for Grace, Regulus was unable to attend. And though he didn't necessarily give a reason, she had a feeling that it was something related to the dark lord. Apparently, Regulus had seen him and met him. But when Grace had asked him about it, he simply shut her down and refused to tell her anything. She knew that it was for her own safety that he was doing it, but it still hurt.

She wished that Regulus would get a chance to come to her brother's wedding. But unfortunately, that was not the case. In the small crowd, everyone - including Grace - stood up in their chairs as Lily started to walk down the aisle on the arm of her father. Her father looked genuinely happy and though it took a lot of convincing, James had finally convinced Mr. Evans to let him marry his daughter. And eventually, Lily's parents had grown to like James and treated him and Grace like their own children sometimes.

However, Petunia Evans still held a grudge against anyone who possessed magic. Grace was convinced that it was because magic was something Petunia would never understand, so she chose to be afraid of it instead.

That meant that Petunia was the only one during the wedding to be glaring at everyone while Lily was passed off to James at the little make shift alter they made so Minnie could get them married. And yes, Minnie was the one who had wed the young couple that day. Sirius, James' best man was grinning the whole time and even she'd some tears, but he denied it, saying it wasn't manly of him. That made everyone laugh. And Marlene, Lily's maid of honour wore the prettiest dress for once just for the special day was ecstatic for her friend.

Grace smiled so wide when she heard them say their vows and eventually kiss when they were pronounced husband and wife. She was proud and happy for her brother. He looked so happy being married to the love of his life. Even during some of the pictures Grace took, James was staring at her as she smiled at the camera. Anyone with eyes could see how much he loved her.

During the receptionist, when everyone went inside to the Potter manor which now belonged to James, Grace remained outside. Even though she was more than happy for her brother, she couldn't help but miss and worry about Regulus. She missed him. And she hoped that he was safe and sound in his house.
