I stopped saying I love you
To early
Maybe it was that summer
In Tennessee
When I realized
That maybe change
Would come
And the Mountains
Will soon turn to hills
And the long drive
That I loved
Would end soonThat this chance
Would end soon
Even if every year
You would find me there
I knew in the way
Our love for one another was shorter
Then it was
In our times spent on the beachI felt it
Within myselfThe poison of reality
Reaching fingers
Deep inside my heart
Pulling away the excitement
And love for everyone
I'd grown to know
As a childRecognized
That a river will soon flow
In the mountains
We knew as home
