Your heart is written
Across an old page
One I've kept
In my dress pockets
Of every age
I have faked
When everyone left
You chose to stay
Then you went away
Wondering
Always wondering
If you'll find me again
In the winter rain
But it's summer where I stand
And now my heart breaks
With the idea of you coming back
To me
It will always be you
That I run home to
Even if miles
Sperate me
From you
The daphodils have grown stagnant
And the violets
Never punctual
They've forgotten their flow
Or maybe my heart has forgotten time
When every dance is done
Why am I the only one wondering
If you'll play the music again
Just to sway
And be unrequited
With me?
I'll be alone moving to a tune
When the morning doves call
From their lofty trees somewhere
Where they watch all the mourning
Alone
What an ache that brings to my soul
If only you would've never said
You loved me
The lie is the worst part
Of this all
I'll still always be wondering
Even now
If you would ever choose me
The Girl
That used to be
A fresh spring shower
Wondering always
If the universe
Didn't collide all of me, and you
In another life
