Part 16

Theo's Pov

6 Days Later

The last days I've just been keeping to myself, Roan wants me to lead Azgeda if he falls . Like, no, thank you. I never wanted to lead anybody and certainly not Azgeda,  they can find somebody else for that if the time comes .

My body is healing alright sometimes some pain still comes through my body, but mostly I ignore it and do a lot of training by myself. Clarke mostly tries to talk to me, but I'm not really in the mood , Roan probably knows I just need space, and he accepts that. 

"What are you thinking about." A voice pulls me out of my thoughts, and I see Murphy sitting down next to me as my eyes look at the water .

"Why do you care?" I mumble, and I see the boy chuckle at me words .

"Didn't say I cared, just think you could use somebody by your side," he states, and I give the boy a questioning look .

"My parents are dead because of me," Murphy whispers as he looks at the water, turning my head back towards the water. I hear him take a deep sigh before continuing. 

"On the Ark, everything was rationed, I became ill, and my father stole medicine  to save me . He got caught and was sentenced to death, " Murphy says, and a small furrow makes it on my face .

"My mother blamed me for his death, she started drinking heavily and that lead to her death, the last words she said to me before she died was that it was my fault my father died " he finishes and from the corner of my eyes I can see him bite back the tears that try to leave his eyes .

"It was not your fault,  your father saved his son ." I whisper as my eyes stay on the water .

Taking a deep breath, I grab a small twig and start to twirl it around in my hands. 

"I was not allowed to play. The second I was able to hold a sword, my mother made me train day and night.  " I whisper as I keep playing with the twig in my hands .

"I remember one time, I found some flowers, and I gave them to her . She just trew them in the fire and told me to go back to my training. " I continue, and I see Murphy look at the side of my face .

"She never gave you, you know love ?" He whispers, and I shake my head .

"Even as a young boy I would show her affection and she just had this look of disgust on her face " I whisper as I bite back my own tears now , seeing Murphy hang onto every word I'm saying I release a sigh.

"And your father ?" Murphy quistions me, and I shrug my shoulder .

"Never met him, probably dead  " I say as I throw the twig away from me .   

And with that, it's silent between me and Murphy as our eyes stay on the water. Don't know why I shared that with him , maybe because he told me about his parents and what happened to them.

As the minutes pass by, I find myself enjoying the silence between us, and before I know it, we've been sitting here for almost an hour.

"Go check on your girlfriend Murphy," I say with a small smirk as I stand up and stretch my body out. As Murphy stands up with a small chuckle, he starts to walk in the direction of the house .

Making my way through the trees, I eventually reach the  clearing and walk into the lab. Seeing Luna and Raven talk, I make my way over to them and sit on the empty chair next to Raven. 

"Theo," Raven mutters as she types away, doing God knows what. 

"You're mad," I state, and she snaps her head in  my direction with a glare.
