Part 58

Theo's Pov,

Walking through the halls with Clarke, I'm well glad Raven fixed the power. I don't wanna walk around in the pitch dark. Hearing music fill my ears, I start walking in the direction of the sound.

Walking into the room, I see Jordan dancing with Hope ,and Gabriel and Madi are sitting behind a piano.

Looking at Madi, I let a smile make its way on my face. Making my way further into the room, I see Madi's head snap in my direction.

"Did you choose a bed?" I ask Madi, and she scoffs at my question.

"All these beds should be filled with people." Madi says a frown makes its way on my face.

"My family is here. That's all I care about that you guys are sav, " I state , and Madi walks over to me. As the girl stops in front of me and Clarke , the tension starts to grow.

"You guys decided for all of us..... Again, " Madi bites our way, and I widen my eyes at the girl.

"I decide for everyone, just like I always do." Clarke says, and Madi's angry eyes meet mine.

"Just like you decided to kill Bellamy," Madi bites my way, and I take a step back.

"I-i did that to keep you all safe." I mumble as hurt runs through my body.

"I didn't ask you to, and now you have to live with that! I don't want that for you!" Madi almost yells, and I hang my head down. What am I even supposed to say to her.

"I know you're mad that I stranded us here, but remember Shallow Valley, when it was just us and all we wanted was our friends-" Clarke starts but she's soon cut off by Madi.

"Your friends. What about mine? I was starting to build my own life. I have friends in Sanctum. Picasso is there, Luca. You think you're protecting me, but you're not. You ruined my life. Just like you ruined your own." Madi yells at Clarke, and I snap my head in the girls' direction.

"Madi enough, we did what we had to do. We did what we had to do to protect the people we love. You can be mad at us all you want, but one day, you'll understand it." I say to the girl before walking out the room.

Shaking my head, I walk through the hallways until I eventually reach the fighting pits. Taking a deep breath I sit down against the concrete wall and pull my knees to my chest, I get where Madi is coming from but one day she'll understand we did what we had to do room keep our family save.

"You alright?" I hear a voice, and when I look up, I see Echo walking over to me .

"Should be asking you that." I breathe out as the woman sits down next to me.

"Remember the first time we met." Echo says, and I chuckle at her words.

"Yeah, Nia made us fight, and well, you ended more times on your ass than I could count." I say, and I feel Echo bumb her shoulder against mine.

"Well, not how I remember it." Echo says, and I look at the side of her face.

"I remember a young boy who fought so hard for his mothers love and that she would say she was proud of him ." Echo says, and I release a shaky breath.

"Don't have to throw me under the buss Echo." I mumble, and I hear the woman chuckle beside me.

"Do you think it's wrong? For us to stay here and leave the others behind?" I ask her as I look in front of me.

"I don't even know anymore Theo, the people we love are here, our family is here." Echo says, and I slowly nod my head.

"True, but not everyone we love is here ." I whisper as I lay my head against the concrete wall.
