Part 27

Theo's Pov.

6 years later 

It's been around six years since Praimfaya. Like i said, the kid was curious and searched us out. We've been living like a little family since then . We've been scavenging as far as we could and found some weapons and were even able to fix the rover, or well Clarke did because technology and me still not a good idea.

I've been doing some secret training with Madi for the sword and stuff, but well, everything I get an earful from Clarke. I just think she needs to know in case something would ever happen. 

The earth has been save for a year, but we haven't headed anything from the bunker, we've tried to get them out more the  once but there's too much rubble. Clarke's been talking to Bellamy every day, and I think it just gives her comfort. Between me and Clarke, well we are good, I do love her, but even after all these years, it's hard for me to tell her that. My mother still sometimes haunts me, and I still get nightmares. Clarke knows it's hard for me and doesn't make a big deal out of it, but I do hope one day I'll be able to tell her that.

"What are you thinking about ?" Clarke asks me as she walks my way with some fish  and a spear.

"You," I say with  a small smirk, hearing the rover come our way, we turn in  the direction, and soon Madi jumps out.

"Hey wash up, it's time for supper," Clarke says as she turns around again.

"Look, the berries are ripe," Madi says as she runs towards us with a smile.

"That's nice , come on, I caught you, cook," Clarke says to Madi, and I chuckle at the two.

"Clarke, you promised, last season there weren't enough.  And this year they are everywhere.  Please, I'll cook for a week and clean up, " Madi says as we come to a stop and she looks at Clarke.

"Two weeks," Clarke says back, and I see a smile makes its way on Madi's face.

"Deal," Clarke says as she puts the fish in the pot and grabs her jacket.

"Come on," Madi yells as she's running back towards the Rover.

"I know what we can do in those two weeks." I whisper in Clarke's ear as I walk past her and slap her ass.

"Theo," Clarke yells with red cheeks, but I just laugh at her and get into the rover.

As the tree of us are sitting around a fire, Clarke is dying Madi's hair, and I just look at the two. They are my family.

"How could you not think she would win ?" Madi asks Clarke and I chul keep at the girl, here we go.

"English Madi," Clarke states as she continues to do her hair.

"I'm just saying skairipa is a beast. Of course, she would win the conclave, " Madi says, and a frown makes its way on my face.

Seeing the girl look at the drawing of Octavia, I stand up and brush the dust of my pants.

"I'll be right back." I whisper as I walk away from the two .

Walking through the dark forest, I eventually reach a fallen down tree and sit down on it .

"You're a monster." I hear a voice, and I soon come face to face with my mother again.

"Leave  again, haven't seen you in a year, so just leave ." I whisper as  I hang my head down in defeat.

"Your brother died because you were a coward and weak to do your duty," she says as she walks over to me and I shake my head.

"Roan died fighting for what he thought was right," I whisper as I  hang my head down.
