Chapter 12
I knew that it was rather unravelling on my part to be in this kind of situation right now. Firstly, a werewolf imprinted on me. Secondly, half of my body served as a bloodsinger for a vampire who believed that we might have a future together. It was obviously not going to turn out any good, for me, for Seth, and for Alec.
"What do you do in here, Alec?" I started the conversation. I simply wouldn't want to spend my life not having an actual life. I also wanted to live and be happy somehow. I didn't want to be trapped in this damned world forever.
"I walk inside the mansion until Aro decided to do something," he told me. "I guess you need to sleep being half-human and all. Let's first call it a day, shall we? Here's your room," Alec gestured at an old-fashioned looking room. I didn't expect anything modern, vampires lived a very long time ago after all. "Just whisper my name if you need me,"
"Thanks," I honestly said as I opened the door of my room and went inside. The room wasn't bad. The chandelier was amazing, the fireplace was exquisite and the furnitures inside the room were in fact so appealing to the eye. But rather than that, I still preferred my room in the Cullen's mansion. Obviously because the whole house was more alive than this one.
Since I didn't have any clothes to change into, I went to the bathroom just to clean myself. I went out and shuffled on the bed and drifted to a very nice sleep.

A knock on the door woke me up. I stood up from the bed and opened the door only for it to reveal Jane. "What are you doing here?" I asked her in between nicely and harshly. "I'm not in the mood of playing the 'killing each other' game right now,"
Jane was looking rather stern and nervous. She was indeed nervous for being emotionless. "I came here to apologize,"
"Did Aro sent you here?"
"Perhaps not,"
"Then who sent you here?" why would an emotionless girl like Jane say sorry to me? Last time I checked, we were trying to kill each other using our special abilities.
"Myself," she answered. I didn't have a choice but to motion for her to go inside. There was no use in trying to sound harsh in front of her. I was not that kind of person after all. She sat on my bed, quite tensed.
"You just came here to apologize?"
"No," she said. "I'm really grateful that you are here now,"
"Really?" I eyed her. "Maybe that's why you tried to kill me last night. It's because you're very grateful of my presence,"
"I just really got mad because you became rude to my brother,"
"Let me guess...Alec means the world to you?"
"He's the only family I've got," her emotionless face turned into a painful one. "Alec and I went through a lot of hardships that you may never think of,"
"I think I'm still not yet ready to hear your story," I told her honestly. "Just care to tell me why you're grateful that I'm here now?"
"You're the only vampire girl the Volturi took in their wing," her face then turned into a calm and comfortable one. Maybe she just looked strong from the outside and really had a soft personality on the inside. "And I got to admit, it's getting a little lonely for me,"
"Even though we didn't have a good start," I then concluded. "I think we're going to be great friends afterwards. Why don''t we start again? I'm Brynn,"
I offered my hand and she took it with the fragile looking hand of hers. "Jane. Don't tell them that I have a soft spot, okay?"
"Yeah, sure," I chuckled at her. Who knew that this girl would apologize to me and indirectly ask me to be her friend. I thought I knew how boring it was to be the only girl around her age to be moping around here in a mansion full of guy vampires.

"A werewolf has imprinted you and you're also my twin brother's blood singer?" Jane asked me. She stayed here in my room for a while and we were sitting cross-legged on my bed which was weird for Jane because she had never done it for a long time. We talked about a lot of things but I chose not to ask her about her and Alec's hardships in life. We also talked about my life when I was still a human and things such as that.
"Yes, which makes everything more complicated," I told her. "And I'm pretty sure that Alec has this idea in his head that we can be Edward and Bella. He said that Bella was Edward's blood singer when she was still human,"
"I know of that and you and Alec might be possible," she then thought deeply of something, "But on the other hand, a werewolf imprinted you and a werewolf has no choice but to protect his imprintee at any cost,"
"That's deep..."
"Do you like the werewolf?"
"Yes," I wasn't nervous when I told her that even though she was Alec's twin sister. I knew that I could trust Jane enough even though we only talked for a couple of hours. "Is that bad?"
"Your relationship will be like Bella's child and the Black,"
"Yeah, and his name's Jacob, he's pretty nice and he visits Renesmee all the time," I explained to her. "How about you? Do you plan to find someone that you love?"
"My brother needs to find his woman first," she informed me. "Though I would like that woman to be you, I know it's going to be impossible, since you like a werewolf,"
"Why would you wait for your brother to have a love life first?"
"Because I want him to be happy," she told me whilst a smile crept on her face. "Alec is worth all the wait. Once he finds his, I'll find mine,"
"And don't forget that I'll help you find that one true guy, okay?"
Suddenly, howls were heard from the outside. I heard some talking loud and clear that were coming from the outside. Jane and I looked at each other right before she concluded, "The Cullens and some werewolves are here."
