Nat had asked to stay at Gens plays for the night, to which she declined. She had instead asked the owners to let her stay the night at their house, which Nat had no part or say in. To her shock they accepted, so now here she is trailing behind this couple and their child that she barely knew. Gen had assured her that they were good people, but it didn't really help. After a bit of walking they had arrived upon the house, or a manor more of it.

They showed her around and left her in the guest room where she would be sleeping that night. It was unusual to see such well off monsters, especially in this town. Nat felt completely out of her element, when she ran away, she never expected to find herself staying at two rich monsters' home. She will admit that the home is very cosy despite being so huge, and the bed feels like the ones from the castle. Nat lays down and is getting ready to sleep when the small child from before wanders into her room.

"Oh- uh- i don't think you're meant to be in here." She says to the small child, who is not listening. The child begins to dig around Nat's bag. "Woah- What are you doing? Don't touch my stuff-." "What are you gonna do about it?" responds the child, continuing his search through the bag. "Don't mess with me kid, I'll tell your parents." responds Nat, annoyed. "My name is Somber, and they won't catch me." Says the kid, grabbing a necklace from Nat's bag and taking off running. Nat quickly begins to chase after the kid, but gets lost in the maze of hallways and finds herself in an old looking office.

She's overcome with curiosity and walks over to the dusty desk in front of her. The entire room is dimly lit and lined with bookcases. She picks up a picture frame off the desk but before looking at it she hears a whisper in her ear. "Boo." Nat quickly turns around and is greeted by a familiar face. Jona Shores. Jona was the head of Lucas' royal guard and remained loyal during the revolution, and they went to the same high school. He had been killed defending Lucas during his final day of rule. Jona was meant to be dead. Nat screams- Jona's hand quickly covers her mouth. This can't be real, she saw Jonas' dead body, he was stabbed in the back- yet here he is, still in his armour and all. She tries to look at anything but the sickly pale face in front of her own.

"Calm down kid, you'd think you'd seen a ghost or something." Jona took his hand off of Nat's face and backed up, spreading his arms out. "It's the same ol' billy you've known for years! Don't be a stranger." It was true. Jona was a Goatman, though he had human legs unlike most of his kind. He had horns that curled around his head with gold chains dangling from them, a wedding ring on his hand, and a white tail sticking out of his clothes. His eyes were a deep red with slit pupils. His face was much paler than it was usually, and there was a blood stain on his abdomen.

"You're supposed to be dead. You're supposed to be freaking dead-!" Nat exclaimed, her breathing hitched, there must've been something in the food she ate. "I am dead, Nat-. Do you see- oh i don't know....The Gaping wound in my stomach-!?" Responds Jona, who is very amused by Nat's shock, who was too stunned to speak. "Nice house, right? It was mine before Teirens, ya' know, inheritance stuff." "wait- wait- so you're a real ghost? Like,, actually? Or am I actually going crazy?" "I'm realer than your ugly haircut baby." (651 words)
