Sitting outside of Wingstop, Kobi was inside getting the wings while I sat in the car. He had me order from his phone earlier while he drove.

My stomach growled and I held my stomach.

"They need to hurry up with this food," I said to myself.

I called myself trying to distance myself from Kobi but it's hard. Today he is in such a playful mood and I can't distance myself when he keeps messing with me. I also can't help the fact that his mood affects mine. I can't stay mad at him too long, as soon as he smiles at me I'm smiling back.

I was scrolling through Instagram to entertain myself for the moment. Kobi's profile popped up in my suggested accounts. I sighed clicking on it. Nothing changed it was exactly the same as earlier, I don't know why I expected anything to change. But it wasn't my imagination, the comments were still there.

I went ahead and just followed him since it was there. I clicked on his recent post and stared at the comment. Letting my intrusive thoughts win I clicked on her profile.

At least she was pretty. I didn't see Kobi in any of her comments or anything. That gave me a bit of reassurance.

The car door opening caught me off guard. I jumped quickly exiting out and placing my phone under my leg. Kobi got in and placed the food in my lap. I immediately opened them to see what they looked like.

"D*mn hold on hungry, you wanna eat here or somewhere else?" He asked me closing the food back with his hand.

"We can actually go back to my place and eat there," I told him. He nodded starting the car, then pulled off.

"Good, 'cause I gotta pee," He said speeding off.

We pulled up to the house and Kobi hopped out before me and walked up to the door waiting on me. I paid him no mind taking my time as I grabbed to food and walked to the door pulling out my keys.

Kobi was doing an awkward sidestep as I unlocked the door. Once the door was unlocked he pushed past me walking fast to the bathroom. I chuckled at him knowing I went slow on purpose to piss him off. I shut the door behind me and locked it.

"Hurry up!" I called out to him taking my coat off. I took our wings and warmed them back up using the microwave. Kobi walked out of the bathroom drying his hands with a paper towel. I was facing away from him taking the food out of the microwave.

"Don't rush me," He said, I felt the paper towel he used to dry his hands hit the back of my head and fall beside me.

"Jabari don't get smacked," I warned him picking up the towel and throwing it back at him.
