Saturday, December 30th, 2:30pm"Ma is gonna kill me," Amir stated in deep thought staring straight ahead.
We were currently sitting outside of the State Penitentiary waiting for our father to walk out. We were parked across the street and Amir was a nervous wreck in the driver's seat.
"No she's not, 'cause she's not going to find out," I reassured him. It was kind of funny to see him like this. I don't know what he was so afraid of.
I pulled out my phone to make the wait faster. Scrolling through Instagram stories I came across Kobi's close friends and my heart fluttered.
It was a picture of us that I had taken with his phone at Top Golf the other day. Everyone had left by then and we were just waiting on Chris to finish talking to Rilynne so we could go. So I took it upon myself to steal his phone and take a bunch of pictures.
I didn't expect him to post any though. Anyone who was there would know that's my feet, but who knows who is in his close friends. Either way, I don't care it's nobody's business. I hearted the picture making a mental note to show Nija later.
The sound of Amir's bouncing leg brought me out of my thoughts. He couldn't stay still constantly darting his eyes towards to entrance anytime someone walked out.
"Amir, you good?" I asked him.
"No, I'm not good. This was a bad idea," He ran his hand down his face with a big sigh. I just sat there staring at him. I personally didn't think it was that big of a deal but Amir's actions are making me think otherwise.
Someone else walked out and Amir's eyes darted towards them. He watched the man closely as he walked to the curb looking around for someone.
"That's him isn't it," I mumbled.
"Yup," Amir sighed stepping out of the car. He stuck his hand out waving towards the man.
He looked scary...Maybe this wasn't a good idea.
The man had the meanest look and glared at everything he looked at. He was tall with tattoos everywhere. I could see the resemblance between him and Amir.
