Chapter 13- Lingering Issues

Arata POV

Inside His Dorm After The Whole Resurrection Incident....

Man, it took awhile for me to convince everyone in ER to let me return to my dorm. I understand their concern....but there's no way I can explain the cause for my heart was-

"Hey! Arata here got a heart attack cuz yours truly finally popped up & nearly killed him! Yeah, there is no way no one would believe that. But at least you managed to convince them Little bro!" said Ghost in a cheery tone while he patted me on the shoulder

Yeah. Thanks for that, Ghost. Moving on, it seems that I'm the only one who can see Ghost, although that may be due to our strange connection with us being .....well the same person. But everything seems to be alright & I'll research this phenomenon later down the-

"Great! Now that's settled! Let's have some delicious hot cup of noodles!!! Where's my favorite kettle!" yelled Ghost in his usual voice as he looked around our dorm

Wait....what? Do you mean this kettle that has been standing here at my desk ever since I got here?

"Yeah, that! It's been a minute since I've seen my faithful partner in cooking! Open up our secret stash of noodles in the hidden compartment in our desk to have some sweet hot delicious-" said Ghost in a giddy tone until I cut him off

Okay, okay. I get it. How did you hide something like this in our own desk? Does Kal'sit, Amiya, or Closure know about this?

"Nope. This is something from my personal collection. Although the reason I had this made was because Kal'sit caught me making my hot cup of noodles in my 'Usual Manner' & was judging me for about a couple of days..... So yeah." said Ghost in an awkward tone while rubbing the back of his head

What do you mean in our 'Usual Manner'?

"Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about your whole 'I have amnesia after being in cold storage'. Allow me to teach you, little bro!" said Ghost with smug tone as he approached me

Kal'sit POV

Standing Right Outside Arata's Dorm....

I'm still worried about Arata's condition. I know he denied having any operator accompany him after everything that happened. I'm sure he won't mind if I come in & check on-

"Mmmmm! This is some delicious hot cup of noodles-" said Arata in a satisfied tone of voice as he finished the last of his noodles until spotting Kal'sit

"I'm having some serious deja vu. How is it that despite losing your memory...you still know how to eat noodles like a complete weirdo." I mumbled while I rubbed my eyes in frustration

"Wait what? I didn't catch that, can you repeat that?" asked Arata with a confused expression

"I said that I'm happy to see that you're okay. I'll leave you to your business.....goodbye Arata." I said with a small smile as I walked out of the dorm to be met by everyone that was in the ER.

"Is Doktah Arata okay? Please tell us, Dr.Kal'sit!" asked Amiya with a worried expression

"Don't worry, Amiya & everyone. Doktah Arata is alright. So please return to your posts & please give Doktah Arata some space. I'm sure he'll let us know that he's alright." I said with comforting smile

Although everyone else wanted to say something, they agreed & continued on with their day. *sigh* I'm having the strange feeling that this isn't gonna be the last time Arata gives us a jump scare like that.
