Clover's POV
Locked in the warm embrace of my prince us where I belong. He's a dream come true. The warmth of his affection for me are like the warm rats of the sun after a long winter. I never want to be apart from my prince.

"I wish you could remain in my small world." I whispered.

He opened his green eyes. He smiled at me in the most seductive way yet. His smile is the kind to bewitch any woman. He can have any woman he wants and he chose me. I feel special.

"I don't fit in your small world sweetness."

"I don't fit in your big world my love. What do we do?"

He propped himself up on his elbow. My fingers traced his bare chest. He's wearing a pendant with a religious symbol. I don't peg him to believe in any supreme deity. Adryan lives by his own rules.

"Once Relian marries, I'll marry you. If you want it here in Fisherman Cove, then we will marry here. But you have to accept that I'm a monarch. I won't abandon my responsibilities if I'm needed. You'll just have to adjust."

"For you I'll try."

"I'm starving. Can you get me something to eat?"

"Yes of course Your Highness. Don't go anywhere."

I got dressed with his gaze on me. We spend a lot of time tucked away in here, making love as often as our bodies can take it. He never leaves to go outside. This is our second day. He wants to spend a week with me. I can't say no to such a generous offer.

He likes the fried rice and fish. It's a favorite in Fisherman Cove. As I waited for the meal to be packed, a man came to stand beside me. He has  a scar on one side of his face. Selina was right. There are a lot of strangers around, all of them men. They just keep coming.

"That is a nice ring. How much for it?" He pointed to Adryan's onyx ring. The gold is bright and it's grounded by the black onyx stone. I pulled my sweater over it.

"It's not for sale."

"Are you for sale?" He smiled at me.

"Stay away from me." I took the meal and paid for it with money Adryan gave me.

As I walked away, the man followed me. He gestured to another man who blocked my path. "Move."

"Why are you in a hurry pretty? Show us some love. We are cold and hungry after a long time at sea."

"Get away from me!" I screamed but they sandwiched me.

"I believe the last asked you to move!" Selina punched one in the face and kicked the other in the groin. She picked up a log and started swinging. "Come at me! I dare you two!"

A third man came and convinced the other two to leave. Selina remained in a defensive stance until they left.

"Where is he? Why isn't he protecting you from those goons?"

"He can't come out."

"Why not?"

"I have to go-"

"I want to meet him." She interrupted me.

"If it's about commitment, he proved it to me. Look." I showed her the ring on my thumb. "It's a family heirloom. I'm holding onto it until he marries me. He even got down on one knee! He sort of proposed to me!"

She smiled fleetingly. "Congratulations. I'm running an errand for your mother."

"I'll ask him if he's willing to meet you-"

"No need. I no longer need to meet him. I'll walk you to the inn."

She accompanied me to the inn and made sure I was inside before she went on her way. I admire Selina. I wish I had the kind of courage she does.
