Selina's POV
Is it normal to stare at someone and wish for the whole world to disappear so that he's the only one left to look at?

I have graduated from stealing glances to seriously gazing at the hearthrob beside me. The Adryan I met in Fisherman Cove was rough and ragged. He fit the role of a General. This Adryan is cleaned up, clean shaved and his overgrown hair has been tamed to short clean shave. He looks like a prince. A dashing one that can make all the non believers believe in a fairytale. I believe in a fairytale.

"Selina, you will burn a hole through me." He whispered.

"I never thought you could look so handsome."

He smiled at me. "To be fair, I never thought you could look any more beautiful than you already are. Who do I need to pay to make sure you look like this everyday?"

I looked down at the guests when I couldn't contain my blush anymore.

When we came in through the back we found a secluded area and stayed put. We are on a landing, watching the guests from above.

"I need something stronger." He swirled the champagne in his glass.

"Me too."

He narrowed his beautiful eyes at me. Having Adryan's full attention feels like the sun after a cold winter. Losing it feels like being hurled back into that winter. "That is not very ladylike."

"Would you rather give me tea?" I chuckled.

"Let's have a drink somewhere else."

"Where?"

He offered me his hand. I happily placed my palm on his. His enclosed his strong hand over mine, securing me in this uncertain moment. We met up with Keli and we made our way out of the Duke's extravagant home.

"What about the Duke?" I asked. "Aren't you supposed to make nice with him?"

"I found another way around it."

"Which way?"

"You'll find out."

*
Adryan has brought me to a townhouse within the city. It's among a row of stone houses stacked together to form a long street. He is having a conversation with Keli outside the living room. I don't know what they are saying to each other.

I rested on the window seat, watching the night. The streets lit with yellow street lamps are almost empty. It's the eleventh hour. This is the time Daa Haan comes to life. As late as 2am, it's possible to find the streets full. Sometimes, I miss Daa Haan and I want to go home. I even miss my father and that is strangest part. We were never close. After my mother's death we grew even farther apart.

The sound of the closing door tore my attention away from the street below. Adryan is standing there with his tie hanging over his neck. His eyes look dead serious. I would prefer if this situation is romantic. We are alone, it's perfect for what we started back at the cabin in the Chrystal Isles..

"Well?" I asked with expectation in my gaze.

I'm expecting something worth dreaming about. I want a different kind of adventure tonight. I'm soaked for it.

He slowly stalked my way with his eyes set on me. When he got close, I became overidden with emotion. Without him asking, I parted my legs and he stood in between gazing down at me. The urge to wrap my legs around him and yank hom down is strong. Going at it hard right here against the window isn't far fetched. I must tame my urge to have this man. He tucked his hands in the pockets of his black trousers as though to take them. We held a strange gaze until he blinked it away.
