Selina's POV
"Lucy!"

"You're back!" She smiled. She is taking a cup of hot tea. I joined her by the side of the port where a few workers are having tea. "Wait, do you have an anklet too?"

"No."

"Oh. Then why are you here?"

"I'm looking for Clover. If you remember anything useful..."

She sighed heavily. "I remember how cold the ship was when we came this way. We were freezing, huddled in groups. Clover was looking for you when she regained consciousness. She was crying." That sounds like Clover. She cries a lot. Now that I know she was in a relationship with Adryan, I wonder what kind of a princess she would have made. The sensitive kind, no doubt. She said Adryan is sweet. He's not. Maybe he was to her.

"Did you see her when you got off the boat?"

"Yes. We all got off. We were stored away in one of the buildings behind us. It smelt like fish. It was horrible. You would think after living in Fisherman Cove you would get used to the smell of raw fish!" She made a disgusted face. "We spent the night and in the morning, we were auctioned. We went out separate ways. Three of us remained here but... I'm the only one left."

"Where are the others?"

"Dead. You disobey, you die. You try to run away, you are shot with a harpoon in the back."

I clenched my jaw tightly.

"Where do you think Clover was taken?"

She scratched her head. "South?" She frowned at me. "I'm not sure but if you go to the center of town, you'll find Samira. She would know. She was with her. Yes. Samira."

"Thank you."

"Selina, how did you get here? Why weren't you captured? Am I ever going to be free?" Her eyes teared up.

I held her by her shoulders. I have only been affectionate with three people in my life. My mother, Adryan and Clover. This girl needs a hug and some sort of assurance.

"Don't worry, I'll be back for you."

"Promise?"

"I promise. I have to go. Stay safe."

I have to go to the center of town. The Chrystal Isles is uneventful. It's a gloomy cold place. I hate it. It feels dead. I miss Daa Haan all teb time but I burned bridges I cannot return to.

I wonder what I will do once I find Clover. Will I take her back to the Northern Islands and spin a lie about Adryan's whereabouts? Will I take her to Adryan and sabotage what we have? Adryan was honest about his feelings for her. Being with me felt like he was cheating on Clover.

I approached every shop owner, asking for Samira. She's a short plump girl with a heart shaped face. She's very pretty. Many men asked for her hand but her father refused. He was waiting for a rich man. How would she find a rich man when she never left the destitute island she lived in?

I finally entered a bakery. What are the chances that the sweet tooth would be working in a bakery?

"Good morning." I greeted the older woman. "I'm looking for Samira."

"Who are you?"

"An old friend." I answered as much as Samira and I never really talked. She was closer to Clover. Everyone preferred Clover because she's the friendly one.

"Who is your owner?" She asked me.

"Owner?"

"Are you wearing iron?"
