Chapter Thirty One.
[3 MONTHS LATER]
Charlie:
I haven't seen Nick in almost a month. Between school for me and Rugby try-outs and practices for him, there has just been no time. The last time I saw Nick was when he came home for Thanksgiving and now it's almost Christmas; but that means that Nick is coming home for two whole weeks. It hasn't been the same without seeing him even though we talk everyday so I can't wait to have him physically here. He has one more class tonight and is driving home first thing in the morning. I look down and see that I have a text from Nick.Nick: TOMORROW!!!
Nick: How did I survive not seeing you for over three weeks?
Charlie: I can't answer that; I didn't survive, I'm a ghost :p
Nick: Oh, you think you're funny?
Charlie: Kind of :)
Charlie: Can't wait to kiss those lips xxx
Nick: Wouldn't you just go right through me since you're now a ghost? :p
Charlie: Now who thinks they're funny?
Nick: I mean ... I am funny (:
Charlie: Kind of funny... :p
Charlie: Just got out of class?
Nick: Yeah, going to pack some things and get some sleep so I can drive over to you first thing in the morning
Charlie: Nellie is going to be offended that you're coming to see me first
Nick: I'm grabbing you and we're going straight to Nellie; although she's probably going to be more excited to see you :/
Charlie: That's definitely true. Nellie loves me the most (:
Nick: Tomorrow? xx
Charlie: Tomorrow xxI play some video games before getting ready for bed. Even though it's still kind of early, I'm just excited for tomorrow and the sooner I go to sleep, the sooner I'll see Nick.
Nick:
I find it funny that Charlie knows me better than anyone but still doesn't know that there is absolutely no way that I'm waiting until tomorrow to drive home to see him. Once I finish packing, I'm driving straight to him. Charlie will already be asleep by the time I get there, which I'm assuming will be a little after midnight, so I'm still unsure how I plan to surprise him. I'm not going to ring his doorbell and wake everyone up at that time; Tori might murder me if I interrupt her sleep."You think Charlie will be surprised?" Adam asks.
"Yeah, he has no clue; which is funny. He should know that I'm obviously going straight to see him. Excited to go home?"
"I mean, not really. Jacob and I have been doing really great and now we're both going back home where he is out and I am definitely not out and really don't feel like having that conversation with my family during the holidays."I sigh.
"I'm sorry. I know what it's like to be nervous about telling people about who you are, but I don't know what it's like to have that fear of possibly not being accepted by your parents."
"It's not possibly; they won't accept me, I know it," he says.
"If you want, you and Rob, with Jacob too, if you want are more than welcome to come hang out with Charlie and me, you guys can even spend the night if you want."Adam smiles.
"That sounds like a great idea. Rob will probably be busy with Jacqueline but I can most likely borrow my parent's car, grab Jacob and come down for a day. I'll let you know."
I smile as I zip my bag.
"Perfect. Alright, well, I'll talk to you soon."
We give each other a hug.
"Tell Charlie I said hi," he says with a smile.
"I will!"I leave the dorm and start heading home. I'm so excited I can barely put it into words; this is the longest Charlie and I have ever been apart from each other. After what seems like forever, I finally reach Charlie's house. I tried to call him but he didn't answer; knowing Charlie, he probably has his phone on silent because the boy loves his sleep. I look around and see a rock on the ground that looks like it will make enough noise to wake him up but not strong enough to break his window. I pick it up and throw it at his window. I wait a minute or two but Charlie does not come to the window. This boy is really making it hard to be romantic, I think to myself. I pick up another rock and throw it at his window. I see his lamp turn on and his shadow as he walks over to the window. Once he sees me, he immediately disappears and within seconds the door opens and he jumps into my arms.
"God, I missed you so much," I say as I squeeze him.
"I can't believe you're here!" He says as he grabs my face and kisses me.
"I still don't get how you think there was any chance that I wasn't driving straight here, it's been too long."Charlie grabs my hand and walks me inside as we sneak up the stairs and into his room. He lightly shuts the door and pushes me against it as he kisses me. I run my fingers through his hair and deepen the kiss.
"Not to sound dramatic, but it feels like it's been years since I've been here," I say.
"It feels like it's been years since I've done this," Charlie says as he kisses me again. This is what I raced home for. The feeling I get when I'm with Charlie is indescribable and it's safe to say that I'm addicted to it. Charlie is and will forever be, my home. We walk over to his bed and he pushes me onto it.
"Don't you think your parents would want to know that I'm here, in your bedroom, in the middle of the night?"
"Probably, but also, it's not like I don't spend weekends up at your dorm, so is it really a big deal?" He asks as he climbs on top of me.All of a sudden, we're taking each others clothes off, giggling and telling each other to be quiet so we don't get caught.
Life doesn't get any better than this.
