Off To Uni! (Written after Nick & Charlie by Alice Osmen)

Chapter Nine

**WARNING; SLIGHT HOMOPHOBIC SCENES**

CHAPTER NINE:

[THE NEXT DAY]

Nick:
My alarm goes off and everyone groans at me.

"Sorry!" I whisper as I shut it off. 

Charlie opens his eyes and looks at me.

"I promised Mum we'd watch one more movie before we leave," I whisper;  "AND IF ANYONE WANTS A RIDE UP TO UNI WITH ME THEY BETTER GET UP TOO," I say loud enough for everyone to hear.

Everyone slowly gets up and start to gather their things. Tara's parents are taking Tara, Tao and Elle, and I'm taking Charlie and Darcy. After we all settle in, we're all going to meet up somewhere, or go to a party or something. 

Charlie and I leave together and start walking towards his house since it is on the way to mine. 

"Today I officially have a boyfriend at Uni, does that make me cool?" He asks playfully.
"No, you'll always be a nerd," I say as I stick my tongue out at him.

We reach his house and I walk him to the door.

"So I'll pick you up in like, two hours?" 

He wraps his arms around me and kisses me quickly.

"See you soon."

I walk back to my house and pack up Mum's car before sitting with her to watch a movie. I figured I'd pack my stuff in her car so Darcy would have room for her things in my car.

"So do you and Charlie have any plans on your first night up there?"
"Actually, Tao is coming up too so we figured all six of us can hang out or go to a party or something."

She looked at me and smiled.

"I'm happy you're going to have somewhat of a support system up there while I'm down here," she says.
"I'm happy Charlie will have Tao and Aled still. He also told me he's going to come by at least once a week to see you and Nellie," I say.

She smiles again.

"That's very sweet of him."

We finish watching the movie and finish loading up Mum's car. She gets Nellie and puts her in her car.

"I'm going to grab Charlie first and then Darcy; after that we are heading straight there," I say.
"Okay Nicky, I'm just going to grab something to eat for the drive and then I'll be on my way. I'll see you soon. I love you."
"Love you too Mum!" I exclaim as I head into my car and drive to Charlie's.

Charlie opens the door before I get there and Oliver comes running out.

"Nick! You're leaving today? When are you coming back? Charlie said I can come up to visit you with him one weekend, is that okay?"

I laugh give him a hug.

"Yes Oliver, I'm leaving today; but I'll most likely be back this weekend to see my Mum, and you of course! Also, you can absolutely come up with Charlie one weekend. I'll make sure to find the coolest things to do while you're up here."
"AWESOME!!" He exclaims.

I look at Charlie and he smiles at me. I am going to miss that smile. But I try to look at it as how perfectly Charlie wrote it in our memory book. I can't wait for that first time we see each other after being away from each other for however long. My heart can literally burst just thinking about it; thinking about having him in my arms again, feeling his lips crash into mine. I'll honestly be surprised if we even leave the room when he comes to visit.

"You ready to go?" I ask as I give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Ready!" He says.

We get in the car and start heading to Darcy's.
