The last time she was in Chicago was when she was kidnapped by the red room, when she saw Marc for the last time. It was strange to be back here after so long. She's only been here an hour and the memories of her childhood came rushing back to her, this is where she grew up after all. These are the memories she clung to whenever her time in the red room got especially rough. Especially the memories with Marc. She always wondered where he was, if he was alright. Which brought her back to what she saw on the computer. He couldn't have possibly killed those innocent people. Right?
Naomi sighed, then looked down the street. It was hard to believe she was this close to Marc's home after all these years. His home where.... If Wendy Spector wasn't already dead she would have done it herself. On the plane ride to Chicago she did a little bit more digging and discovered Wendy was dead but Elias was still alive, living in the same house from all those years ago. A lot has changed but some things stayed the same. She took a deep breath then started walking.
No one was around yet she felt incredibly nervous. She wasn't supposed to feel nervous, yet she did anyway. This was the street she's walked down too many times to count, one of the places she didn't need to fear. But Marc did because it all led back to his mother. Wendy, who she still wished she could have killed herself. She had a lot of time to think these past years and realized what truly was going on, it only made her blood boil. How didn't she realize it sooner? She could still see Marc's face frozen in fear before she took him out of his house and to her own.
Eventually she reached the door of Marc's childhood home she froze. She never planned what to do when she actually got here. For all the planning she's done, trying to find Marc...she never thought about what to do when she got to his childhood home. Naomi raised her hand to knock on the door, but before she got the chance to it opened. In front of her stood Elias Spector, older but still the same person she remembered from all those years ago. "It's been a long time Elias," Naomi spoke before he got the chance.
The other looked at her questioningly for a moment before his eyes widened. "Naomi?"
Huh, she didn't expect him to actually figure out who she was. It's been years and years, plus she certainly didn't look like the little girl who went missing so long ago. So she was a bit surprised to say the least.
"Yes, surprise I'm not dead."
Surprise I'm not dead? Really Naomi? She could criticize herself for that one later but maybe just maybe Elias knew where Marc was. She doubted it but it didn't hurt to ask.
"Do you know where Marc is?"
Elias looked down to the ground and shook his head.
Naomi saw that one coming but it was disappointing. It seems she's truly hit a dead end now. This was the only place she thought of, the research she's done wasn't super helpful either. It seemed Marc's been just about everywhere like her so she had no idea where to go looking after this.
"Where have you been?" Elias asked.
"Everywhere."
It was the truth she's been just about everywhere during her time with the red room. After her reply she turned around and walked away, not listening to Elias yelling her name as she left. She had nothing left to say, nothing at all. So she walked away and never looked back.

Naomi couldn't believe she was finally here. For so many years she dreamed and dreamed of moving to London. While in the red room she thought she would never have the chance. But thanks to Yelena she now had a chance to. She opened the door to her flat, taking a look around. It wasn't much but it was hers. Naomi could see herself calling this place home. Home... Huh. She hasn't called anything home in a long time. Home used to be Chicago, with pizza, her parents, and Marc. But now her parents are dead and Marc missing.Marc who apparently was a marine then a mercenary since she...left. Left, what a way to describe being kidnapped and turned into an assassin. Naomi set down her belongings and closed the door. It was hard to believe this place was hers. Until she could find a trace, a clue, anything about Marc's whereabouts she would stay here. It could be days, weeks, months, ...years. That was something she didn't want to think about.
She remembered telling her parents about her dreams to go to London, she was just sad they didn't get to see it happen. Naomi liked to think they would be proud of her but she wasn't so sure that was the case. With a sigh, she grabbed her bag filled with her small amount of clothes and walked into her bedroom. Five seconds later she heard a knock on her door and frowned. No one should be here. That was suspicious. Naomi set down her bag and grabbed the pistol from its holster on her leg and slowly moved towards the door.
It became clear really quickly who was at her door. Because of course, he was.
"Heyyyyy bestie!!!! Open up it's rude to keep your best friend waiting," Deadpool yelled from outside the door.
Because of course he somehow knew where she was living even though she's owned this place less than a day.
She opened up the door with a raised eyebrow, letting the gun fall to her side.
"I've had this place for less than a day, Wade. How did you find me?"
"Oh uh, it was an accident. Honestly! I was across the street eating a celebratory taco and saw you walk into the building and had to say hi. Waiiiit a minute that's a gun were you going to shoot little old me???"
Of course, of course, he found her by accident. "No, unless you keep tempting me."
It was a joke, but he didn't need to know that.
Wade gasped and put his hands on each side of his mask. "I cannot believe this. The betrayal!!!!!!"
Naomi walked into the flat, Wade following behind her going on about how it's rude to shoot her bestie. This was different, but she wouldn't change it for anything.
IT IS OFFICIALLY MOON KNIGHT TIME WOOOOOO!!!! This was this last chapter before Moon Knight, half was necessary half was not but shhhhh I actually like this so I'm shocked at myself. ANYWAYS!!! I love Wade and he just kinda keeps popping up since he's Naomi's friend. I am so ready for what's to come. Thank you guys so much for reading and onto the next act! <3
