Las Vegas was the best vacation ever!

Even if it was the first one I've been ever been on.

Kirk took me to the casino and we won 5,000$.

Missy and Rachel won 10,000$ but bet it all away and lost it. They were to drunk to even be upset about it though

We were finally back in LA and I was snuggled under the covers while Kirk was at an early morning band practice.

I kissed Kirk bye before he had left for practice, but I was back in bed dozing in and out.

I finally decided to get up and shower because I had to work tonight.

It sucked that Kirk and my schedule didn't line up.

Now we were only seeing each other for a few hours of the afternoon before I would head off to the late hours of the night and return to the early hours of the day which was when Kirk would leave. Sometimes we'd pass each other and sometimes the other was long gone.

Even though we weren't seeing each other as often it wasn't like our relationship was strained. Even on the days when we weren't busy we'd still makeup for the others days.

I decided to do my makeup here at the apartment so I'd have some extra time to hang around when Kirk arrived.

I checked the time and knew he should be arriving soon so I made us a quick snack to eat.

The door to the apartment swung open and Kirk walked in holding his guitar case.

Only today his usual silly grin was replaced by a meh looking face.

I sighed, "Let me guess. James."

Kirk nodded and sat down, "He's been such a dick ever since Julissa dumped him."

I sat down next to him, "Soon he'll realize he can live without her."

"He does realize that. He just doesn't want to live without her. Which is crazy because James doesn't really seem to me as the settling down type of guy." Kirk said as he drank some water.

I nodded, "I don't get with her though. Julissa told me that she never wanted to get married. She said she wanted to enjoy her youth, and when she was old enjoy her parents money."

Kirk scoffed, "It's ridiculous. She's too young to know what she wants and her she is making James miserable." Kirk sat up, "You think you could try to contact her. And tell her to come back"? Kirk suggested.

"I doubt I could do that and even if I did tell her she would still say no. She doesn't like being told what to do." I replied.

"Make it seem like it's her idea." Kirk said.

I rubbed his back and kissed his cheek, "Relax. James will move on soon. Everything's going to get better." I smiled.

"Speaking of better." Kirk said he opened his guitar case and pulled out a Manila envelope.

"What is that"? I asked confused.

He pulled out a bunch of papers and set them in front of me, "While on our trip you said that you had nothing going for you because you didn't graduate high school."

I sat up straight, "I didn't use those exact words but yeah something along the lines of that." I said picking up the papers.

"Well I was thinking you could get your GED." Kirk said with a smile.

"What's a GED"? I asked.

"It's a test you take and it's the equivalent of a high school diploma." Kirk said resting his hand on mine.
