We all danced and laughed as we twirled around in the audience.
It was fun to just focus on your own enjoyment of the concert.
My eyes kept meeting with the guitarist of the band.
It shocked me because he reminded me of Kirk. He had the brown curly locks as well. On his head rested a top hat.
Through out the concert he'd bend down in front of us and squeeze our hands.
He even lifted mine to his mouth and kissed it.
By the end of the concert he had bent down and handed me his guitar pick.
"For the pretty lady." He laughed and winked as he walked off the stage.
"Thank you." I smiled as I felt the pick between my fingers.
"Girl he is like Kirk in a different font." Said Missy, grabbing me.
"Right? So I wasn't going crazy"? I asked, shocked.
"Not at all. He is the Kirk of. Wait, what's this band called"? Asked Tracee facing us.
"Guns N Roses." Replied Missy.
"Weird name. But they've got some pretty smoking hot members." Laughed Tracee.
Me and Missy laughed in return.
"Do you guys mind if I go backstage really fast? Just so I can meet them." Said Tracee with a smirk.
"Fine! But hurry." Said Missy.
"We need to go home. We all work the night shift tonight." I said frowning.
"I will! I swear"! Said Tracee as she ran backstage quickly.
Missy and I had started to make our way to the exit.
"So tell me about this new guy." I said nudging her.
"His name is Rachel and he's perfect. He has this cute little nose ring thingy and I'm obsessed with it. And he's just so nice Dalia. He makes me feel safe. That's why I'm so conflicted about moving." Missy replied.
"I'd hate for you to move but this guy sounds like the real deal." I said brushing a lost strand of hair out of her face.
"I've never felt like this over a guy before." Missy said blushing.
"Aww Missy that's so cute. I'm really happy for you." I said holding her hand.
We looked up and saw Tracee running up to us.
"Guys me and the bassist Duff are going on a date"! She squealed holding out a slip of paper with a phone number on it.
I looked at it closely and saw that there was two phone numbers on it.
"Why is there two numbers"? I asked confused.
"Oh cause the curly haired one. His name is Slash, said he wants to go on a date with you." Replied Tracee.
"That's ridiculous, Im with Ki-" I stared.
"No Dalia please. Duff said he would only go out with me if you came along with Slash." Begged Tracee.
"But Tracee. This isn't fair to do to me. Or Kirk. It's like cheating." I frowned.
"Please! Don't you want to help me with love." Tracee said squeezing my hands desperately.
"I do but I can't go on a date with a guy. I have a boyfriend." I said trying to defend myself.
"Come on just one date please"! She begged.
"Dalia just help her. Just don't tell Kirk." Missy said.
They both stared at me as if I was a bad person.
Was I crazy for not wanting to do it? It felt wrong.
"Are you sure it was me and not Missy"? I asked hoping for it not to be.
"Don't be a dumbass Dalia. Who's holding his guitar pick"? Asked Missy.
I looked down at the guitar pick and back at them.
I held it out to them, "I don't want it! I don't want to do this guys, please." I started.
"Fine Dalia. You can go home and call your boyfriend and you guys can tell each other how much you love each other and I can go home and be alone." Tracee sighed.
Missy shook her head at me, disappointed.
"Fine! I will call Kirk and let him know." I complained.
"Ahhh thank you! I love you so much, you're my hero"! Tracee said wrapping her arms around me.
I hugged her back but I wasn't happy.
They just guilted me into going on a date with some Kirk lookalike.
"Okay. But we have to go get ready for work. Let's go"! I said pulling them to the exit.
"Dalia is the best"! Cheered Tracee as she twirled around.
Missy squeezed my hand, "That was really kind of you to do Dalia."
I shook my head annoyed, "I don't want to do it. And you know that. God, Kirks gonna be pissed at me."
"I'm sure he'll understand." Missy replied.
"Missy I would be pissed if Kirk told me he was going on a date with another girl to wingman for one of his friends." I said irritated.
We stopped at the car.
"Look I'm gonna go home. And call Kirk. I'll see you guys later." I sighed.
They nodded and I walked to my car.
Was I being dramatic?! It wasn't fair that they guilted me into doing something I didn't even want to do.
I walked into my apartment and called Kirk.
"Hey Kirk." I said sweetly.
"Hey babe. How was the concert"? He asked.
"It was good. Uh look. I have to ask you something." I said awkwardly.
"Okay shoot." Kirk replied.
"This isn't my idea at all but Tracee wants me to go on a double date with her. But I said no but she begged me and I don't know, I guess I'm here asking you for permission to go on a date with someone else. But it won't mean anything." I said, knowing I sounded stupid.
"Dalia are you serious"? He asked.
"Yes sadly." I replied.
"No! The answer is no"! Kirk exclaimed upset. "I can't believe you would even consider asking me this."
"Kirk I know but Tracee had a whole breakdown about never finding love and to be honest they double teamed me and called me selfish." I replied.
"So you're gonna give into them and cheat on me"? He asked shocked.
"Not cheat on you. Just go on a date with a guy that won't mean anything with your consent." I said rubbing my neck.
"No Dalia. If you go on a date with that guy, then I'm breaking up with you." Kirk demanded.
"Okay Kirk. Geez I didn't think it would upset you that badly." I replied.
"Well it does upset me. A lot. You thought I'd be okay with you going on a date with another man"? He asked.
"No but I thought you'd understand." I said.
"Honestly it sucks for Tracee but she doesn't need you to help her with love, okay"? Kirk replied.
"Okay. I'm sorry, I won't go on that date." I replied.
"Thank you babe. I love you." He replied.
"I love you too." And with that we hung up.
I knew it was gonna suck to have to explain it to Tracee but I wouldn't be forcing her to do anything like that for me.
