Chapter 12

I woke up to my phone ringing and I lazily walked up to it.

"Hello"? I asked, yawning.

Who the hell calls someone at 6 in the morning on a Saturday?!

"Dalia. I have something to tell you." Dave said.

Oh right, Dave will call you.

"You couldn't wait"? I asked.

"No, I think this is something you need to hear." Dave replied.

"Okay what"? I asked yawning into my hand.

"Cheryl called me last week." He started.

"Good for you." I said confused what the point of this conversation was.

"She completely broke things off with me. She said she had her eyes on someone new." Dave continued.

"Well she is a whore. Did you really expect her to marry you"? I asked, smirking to myself.

"No! Listen! I asked her who the guy was and she said Kirk. Kirk Hammett." Dave replied.

"What"? I asked.

"I know. I thought you deserved to know." Dave said.

"I appreciate you calling Dave. I have to go." I said, upset.

I hung up the phone and stood there angry.

This bitch! How dare she?!

I was furious. She wanted to make my life a living hell.

I picked up a glass cup of the counter and chucked it at the wall.

The front door opened and Kirk walked in quickly.

"I was about to knock but I heard something break." He started.

I looked at him and the glass shards on the floor.

"It slipped." I said quickly.

"Yeah, right." Kirk said awkwardly.

"I didn't know you were coming, this early." I said looking at the clock.

"Well I was gonna wait, but I figured you'd either be up or I would just wake you up." He added with a smirk.

"Oh how sweet of you." I teased.

Kirk kissed my cheek, "Anyways I have some good news." He said.

"What is it"? I asked, excited.

"Metallica's going on tour"! Kirk said, shaking me by my shoulders.

"Oh my God"! I shouted. "That's amazing"! I cheered.

"Isn't it"?! He yelled excited.

Kirk hugged me tightly, "Oh Kirk. I'm so proud of you." I said hugging him in return.

He kissed me and brushed a strand of hair out of my face when he pulled away.

"Anyways, James invited us out to his girlfriends game tonight." Kirk said.

"Game"? I asked confused.

"Well James' girlfriend is in college and she plays on the basketball team." Kirk explained.

Fuck. This is Julissa.

She's been on and off with James for years, and I know I've met her before.

I didn't think they would last this long but they have.

Its only that when I met her, I was with Dave.

"Ohhhh. Well do you wanna go"? I asked, hoping he'd say no so I wouldn't have to face her.
