Chapter 62

Kirks mom had woken me up early that day so we could take a walk around the city.

Kirk chose to stay and sleep in.

I was getting dressed as he spoke to me.

"Tomorrow. I'll go on the walk with you guys." Kirk said, but it sounded muffled through the pillows.

I laughed and kissed his cheek, "It's okay babe. Just rest up."

Kirk faced me and kissed me, "You know younger me would have dreamed about having some one as gorgeous as you kissing me in this bed.

I smiled and kissed him again, "Well I love making your dreams come true."

"You're like my fairy godmother." Kirk replied.

I cringed when he said that, "Again Kirk. You're making me sound old."

Kirk laughed and I quickly threw my hair into a ponytail.

I stopped at the bedroom door, "Okay I'm going. Don't do anything dumb." I started.

Kirk looked up at me with a smirk.

"Without me." I added, winking at him.

I met Teófila at the front of the house and we started our walk.

"I can't believe they fit all the houses on such a small city." I said excited as I looked around.

"I know. It's crazy." Laughed Teófila.

I looked at the city as the sun had started to rise.

"It's so beautiful." I smiled. "I understand all the hype about San Francisco now."

"It is beautiful but it's so crowded. That's why I come and walk early to avoid all these peo-." She started.

"Teófila"? Asked a man's voice.

We both turned around and I saw a tall man who looked around my age walking towards us. He had dark brown hair slicked back and some light blue eyes.

"Oh Jay! How are you"? She asked happily.

I stood there with an awkward smile as they exchanged greetings.

"I'm doing great! How have you been"? He asked.

"Wonderful. Kirk and his lovely girlfriend are in town visiting." Replied Teófila, motioning towards me.

He faced me with a smile, "This is Kirks beautiful girlfriend? Well I must admit you totally live up to the name." He said extending his hand.

I smiled and shook it, "Thank you."

"Kirk and I have been good friends since Elementary." He added.

"Oh it's nice to meet you. I'm glad I finally get to meet his San Francisco friends." I said sweetly.

Teófila smiled, "Would you like to join us on our walk Jay"? She asked.

"I'd be delighted. It would be nice to get to know you more." Jay said as he walked in between Teófila and I.

I nodded with a smile.

"So Kirk tells me you're going to college in LA"? Teófila asked me.

"Yes! I'm gonna study child psychology." I replied with a grin.

"No way"! Said Mark. "Are you going to UCLA"? He asked.

"Yeah I am." I replied.

"I just got hired as a professor there"! He said happily.
