There was knock at the door and I lazily walked over to answer it.

"Tracee." I said softly.

"Hey. I know you hate me, but I just wanted to talk." She replied.

No Dalia! Don't do it! She only has good intentions for herself.

"I guess, you can come in." I said opening the door all the way.

She came inside and sat down on the couch.

"Miguel told me you'd come by. So I wanted to come see you." She said.

"Why"? I asked.

"Because you shouldn't be a stripper Dalia. You're so much better than that." She replied.

"Better than that doesn't mean I have the money to not do it." I replied looking down.

"Why do you need all this money all of a sudden? Have you gotten yourself in trouble"? She asked, "I can help."

I shook my head, "I'm not in trouble. I've just decided that I want to leave LA."

Tracee smiled at me sadly, "Really? That's great Dalia."

"It doesn't feel great. Literally everyone hates me now and the people who don't hate me are gone." I said frowning.

"I don't hate you." Tracee replied.

"You have every reason to. I just dropped you like you were nothing." I replied.

"Because I was being a bad friend. And I'm genuinely sorry about that." Tracee said softly.

I didn't reply. I mean at least she was becoming self aware.

"I'm really sorry for calling Kirk that day. I should've minded my business and I didn't. I'm really sorry if I screwed things up," She said.

"You didn't screw things up. I did. Kirk hates me now." I replied.

"What'd you do"? Tracee asked.

"I didn't mean to but I guess I led him on." I said rubbing my neck.

She laughed, "You guess? I'm sorry. You're hilarious."

"I wish it was funny. But I did fuck up." I said in return.

"Everyone fucks up. What'd you do? Hold his hand"? She asked

"I had sex with him and afterwards told him I loved him." I replied .

She burst out laughing again, "Holy shit. You played him like a violin Dalia."

I sat there unamused, "Not on purpose"!

She stood up with a smirk, "God. You're so crazy I love it. I should head out. But really I think you should reconsider going back to Miguel's. Your to good for that." She said.

"I'll think about it." I replied.

"I'll see you around Dalia." She said and walked outside.

It felt like a small burden had been lifted off my shoulders. At least I had fixed things with one friend.

I got up and finished up some homework for class. Today was Sunday so I was able to relax some.

Claire and I were gonna go the movies later, so I was looking forward to that

The phone started to ring and I picked it up.

"Hello"? I asked.

"Hey Dalia." Said Stassies voice.

"Stassie! How have you been"? I asked.

"Good. I'm getting huge. When are you gonna come visit? I miss you"! She exclaimed.
