The following morning, Kirk had already left for a band meeting or something.

I brushed my hair into a ponytail and changed into some shorts and a t shirt.

I grabbed my things and headed over to this persons house.

I knocked on the door and Julissa opened it.

She looked surprised to see me.

"Dalia"? She asked.

"Hi. Can we talk"? I asked, sheepishly.

She looked unconvinced at first but nodded, and opened the door to let me in.

Her place was cute and cozy.

She led me to the living room where there was some couches.

"I wanted to apologize about yesterday." I started.

"It's not your fault." She replied.

"Yeah but now, you and James are in a fight." I said.

"Because he did wrong, not you." She responded.

God it was gonna be hard to win this girl over.

"Look. When he went to the club, he said he was single." I explained.

"He visited me that same night. Saying all this stuff about how he needed me." She said with a frown.

"Yeah, but." I started.

"Would you like it if Kirk was out with girls and then afterwards went and slept with you"? She said.

"No, but think about it. He realized all those girls didn't compare to you." I replied.

"That doesn't matter. He lied." She said.

"Really I get it. But you and James have been together for so long. Why don't you just make up"? I asked.

"And why didn't you make up with Dave"? She asked in return.

"Because he cheated on me." I said.

"Well I consider paying other women to watch them strip, cheating." Julissa said, looking down.

I could tell she was very hurt, but she didn't want to admit it.

"But you were broken up." I replied.

She looked up, "He still came afterwards." She said exasperated before taking a deep breathe, "I'm sorry but you're not gonna change my mind."

"I don't want to change your mind. What James did was so fucked up. I would be upset too. But he loves you. So much." I replied.

"Maybe you should leave." She said standing up.

"But." I started.

"Look I know you're only here to try to get me back with James so he doesn't get mad at Kirk." Julissa said crossing her arms.

"Julissa wait." I started.

"No. I'm sorry Dalia. But no. And I'm not gonna judge you for what you're doing. You obviously care about Kirk." She started.

"I'm sorry. I'm not trying to use you." I stumbled over my words, feeling bad that she knew why I had actually come.

She led me to the door, "For what it's worth. I told James that Kirk was a very good addition to the band. I didn't have anything bad to say."  Julissa said leaning against the door.

I looked up at her, "Thank you."

She smiled sweetly, "Of course."
