Once Emma's fingers slid from the ring of the collar I fell back landing on my butt with my knees together planting my hands on the couch behind me while the tail curled around my left side under my legs.
As this happened Nathan let go of her wrist and quickly got over to me kneeling to my right beside the couch and without a word pulled me into his chest holding the back of my head with his right hand.
Overwhelmed and panicking I subconsciously clung to him with my hands on his shoulders gripping his shirt with my face in his chest.
"Too far Em."
Nathan said with a stern tone looking back over his right shoulder at her softly rubbing my back as he held me.
As I sat there in his arms listening to his heart beat I realized there was a scent filling my nose that seemed to calm me a little.
While they talked I was lost in thought trying to understand what I was smelling until it dawned on me.
It's his scent..
I thought to myself with embarrassment clutching his shirt slightly tighter letting out a quiet embarrassed whimper.
"Malia? Are you ok?"
Nathan asked with concern and care looking down at me causing the ears to perk up toward him while the tail twitched as I blushed brighter still with my face in his shirt.
Of course he heard me!
I thought to myself with frustration and embarrassment letting out a soft embarrassed whimper into his chest hesitantly nodding.
"Malia?"
He asked in a soft and caring tone gently pulling away from me enough to see my face.
"I-I'm ok.."
I quietly said full of flustered embarrassment unable to look at him trying to understand why his scent soothes me when just yesterday I didn't even notice it.
"I'm sorry Malia, I took it to far."
Emma said in a sincere and apologetic tone still standing where she was gaining a hesitant nod from me still brightly blushing unable to take my gaze from Nathan's chest.
"I-It's ok.."
I quietly said slowly bringing my hands from Nathan's shoulders clasping them just below my chin in front of the collar realizing his scent was on me now.
Sitting there he kept his worried gaze on me while I heard a quiet curious and suspicious hum from Emma.
"Uhm, hey. I know I messed up so let me make up for it."
She said in an apologetic and thoughtful tone causing both Nathan and I to look at her curiously as I still blushed uncontrollably.
"I think I'm safe in guessing that clothes are a bit of an issue what with having a tail and all?"
She continued in a thoughtful and curious tone gesturing at me with her left hand.
"So if it's ok with you then I can try to make up for it by making some adjustments to fit your tail."
She continued in the same tone causing Nathan to look back at me with a caring and curious expression still loosely holding me in his arms.
"Is that ok with you?"
He asked with intrigue and care prompting me to hesitantly look up at him still blushing bright.
Thinking for a moment I knew she probably had some other reason than just helping me in mind but I needed clothes.
With a small nod I said:
"T-That would be great..t-thank you."
In a soft and embarrassed tone gaining a caring nod from Nathan along with a nod and smile from Emma.
After that Emma left to get a few things while Nathan apologized for everything saying that when he came home from work she met up with him and while he tried texting me to warn me I was asleep and didn't see it.
Before long she came back and we all went to my room.
"So, in order to figure out where the hole needs to be and how big I'm gonna have to get a little closer than comfort."
She said in a thoughtful tone gesturing at the tail gaining a quiet embarrassed and awkward whimper from me.
"O-Ok."
I said quietly gaining a nod from her before turning her gaze to Nathan who was standing in the doorway.
"Out. I know you two are close but not so close to get so personal."
She said in a happy tone gesturing with her right hand to leave prompting him to look at me gaining a hesitant nod from me.
After he'd left and shut the door Emma then turned back to me.
"Right, now I know we certainly aren't close like this either but we're both girls."
She said in a reassuring tone gaining an embarrassed and awkward whimper from me along with a small nod.
With that she gently turned me while kneeling on the floor until my back was to her.
"Alright, this is gonna be kinda weird but I'm only checking the tail nothing else ok?"
She said in a reassuring tone gaining a hesitant nod from me as I looked back at her.
With that she gave a small reassuring smile as she lifted the back of my skirt gaining an awkward and embarrassed whimper from me.
Getting me to hold my skirt she then gently and carefully grabbed the tail making me involuntarily let out a small yelp but not from pain.
After doing so she then figured out where the hole needed to be before gently sliding the tail back out and standing up going over to my dresser where her purse was.
Letting go of my skirt I awkwardly stood there watching her as she grabbed a needle and thread as well as scissors.
With that she got me to take off my panties so she could alter them gaining another embarrassed and awkward whimper from me before hesitantly doing so.
After giving them to her I sat on my bed with a blanket over my lap with the tail curled around my left side.
As she began altering them she said:
"So, I gotta ask. What's it like having senses more like a dog?"
In a curious and cheery tone not taking her eyes from what she was doing gaining a quiet whimper from me.
