She lost her chance

In the house of the Greikman family, Lily Rose stood before a family portrait that captured the couple with their only daughter, Eva, when Olivia entered the room.

"Olivia," said Lily, "I was waiting for you, but I didn't expect you to beat me here."

"I'm sorry, Lily," replied Olivia, "I didn't mean to rush ahead of you."

"I've been stuck in this moment for far too long," said Lily, "it's time for me to break free and move forward."

The two women sat across from each other on separate couches.

"It's true that I didn't give birth to you," Olivia said, "but I never treated you any differently from Eva. Today, I see a completely different person before me. You've changed so much, Lily. I miss the Lily Rose you used to be."

"They all did it," Lily replied bitterly. "It was easy to knead and mold me."

"You're still holding a grudge," said Olivia.

"I have every right to," said Lily, "and I will take revenge on all of you one by one. In fact, I've already started with Vincent."

"My suspicions were correct," said Olivia, "you've come back for revenge and forgotten that I am your mother."

"Mother," Lily sneered, "do you want me to address you as 'mother' again like you made me do when I was a child?"

"You're not the only one who suffered," Olivia retorted, "didn't we all suffer? We welcomed you into our family, stayed up with you when you were sick, and comforted you when you were in pain."

"If that's true, then why did you abandon me on the street?" Lily shot back, "why didn't you comfort me when I was in my darkest hour? You treated me like a toy you could buy and throw away when it broke."

"You're unfairly blaming me, Lily Rose," said Olivia, "your hatred has blinded you."

"I may have a great deal of hatred," Lily admitted, "but I'm willing to turn over a new leaf, or even write a new book if necessary. It all depends on one word, just one word that comes out of your mouth."

Olivia looked at Lily with confusion etched across her face. "What?" she asked, her voice heavy with emotion.

Lily's eyes were filled with desperation as she searched for her daughter. "Where is my daughter?" she pleaded.

Despite her efforts to remain composed, Olivia's resolve crumbled under the weight of Lily's desperation. "Your daughter," she began, her voice trembling. "Vincent told me she was born stillborn."

"But Vincent said otherwise!" Lily exclaimed, her eyes darting around the room. "He said she was alive, and if she is alive, then the threads must lead to you."

"What do I have to do with your daughter?" Olivia retorted, her frustration mounting. "And what would I do with her if she is alive? Vincent is the only one who stands to gain from this, as he doesn't want to raise another man's child. He's a despicable, poor man who knows he can't afford the expenses of a child, even though I doubt that she's alive. They probably just wanted to play with your emotions."

Lily's voice trembled as she spoke, her fear palpable. "Vincent isn't the only one who stands to benefit from hiding her. There are those who raped me and those who are related to me. They won't want a child born out of wedlock between them."

"What do you mean?" Olivia asked, her eyes narrowing. "You've already accused George, my husband and your own father, of rape. Haven't you caused enough damage?"

"I don't care how you interpret it," Lily spat back, her eyes blazing with fury. "I won't argue with you about something I know to be true. You agree with me at least in your own mind. I want one word, Olivia. Is my daughter alive, yes or no? And where is she? Give her back to me, and I'll leave you all alone. I'm sure you're involved in this somehow. Otherwise, why did you send Andrew to the hospital?"
