In the Groger mansion, Mr. Tom received his future daughter-in-law, along with his son. After sitting and talking for a while, he asked her about the wedding preparations. She responded with a worried tone, "Actually, I came to discuss this matter."
Tom: "What's wrong, my dear? Is it about Simon?"
Simon: "I don't know anything." He looked at her with a questioning expression, waiting to hear what she had to say.
Eva: "No, Simon doesn't know anything yet. The issue is that my mother wants to postpone the wedding until the summer."
Both men were puzzled, and Mr. Tom sighed.
Eva: "It's not a big deal, but some of our family members and members of my mother's association will be absent during our wedding period, and my mother values their presence greatly."
Tom adjusted his seating and said, "And what do you think about it, my dear?"
Eva: "In truth, a summer wedding has been a childhood dream of mine. I don't want to oppose my mother, especially since she promised not to interfere with anything else." She then took Simon's hand and said, "But I want to know Simon's thoughts on the matter."
Simon released her hand, stood up, and walked to the window, near his father. Eva followed him, giving her father-in-law meaningful looks, and then he left the room.
Eva: "I didn't know you were so eager to get married."
Simon: "You're the love of my life, and your mother keeps interfering in everything we do. We should be the ones deciding."
Eva: "The issue isn't worth all this. I could marry you today if you wanted."
Simon: "Really?"
Eva nodded her head, confirming her words, and Simon planted a short kiss on her lips.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tom paid a visit to Olivia at her home.
Olivia entered the living room to find him sitting comfortably, legs crossed, resting his hand on his ivory-topped cane. She greeted him with a polite smile.
Tom: "Please, have a seat first."
Olivia's smile faded, and she sat down.
Tom: "Are you inventing reasons to postpone the wedding?"
Olivia: "Eva, our dear daughter, loves to exaggerate. The truth is, we wanted the wedding to be fitting for both of our families, and we want all our loved ones to be there."
Tom: "Olivia, don't take me for a fool. You and your husband are trying to make us accountable for what happened with Lily Rose, your previous daughter. If we exclude Adrian, Sara will be your daughter or granddaughter, dear Mr. Tom."
In the evening, Harry and Lily sat in a café near their secret garden.
Lily: "Nothing has changed in this place. Even the tea is served the same way."
Harry: "There's a difference." Lily tilted her head, wondering what he meant.
Harry: "In the past, I would hold your hands to warm them." He reached his hand towards her, and she briefly held it. Then she let go. Harry asked her why she let go, and she replied, "I don't want to lead you into the darkness surrounding me."
Harry: "But they were the cause of that darkness."
Lily: "Even if it wasn't your choice, I can't let you risk yourself or do something reckless like you did today."
Harry: "Should I leave you to bear all this alone, as you have for all these years?"
Lily: "Regardless of whether it was my choice, I can't resist my feelings. I don't want anyone by my side when the time comes."
Harry: "What about me?"
Lily: "Maybe I would like you to be by my side."
Harry: "Then we'll burn together."
Lily: "Have you forgotten Sara, your daughter? She's still young. Do you want to leave her without anyone as well?"
Harry: "Of course not."
Lily: "You're the only person I've ever loved throughout my life."
Harry extended his hand, and they stood up from the table. As she said her goodbyes, Harry pulled her closer to him, igniting her breath with a passionate kiss. He released her and got into his car.
Lily remained stunned for a moment before she could move and get into her own car.
In the Greycroft family's home, Olivia examined the wounds on George's neck.
Olivia: "Do you see the danger in Lily now? Even Harry, who can't harm a fly, did this."
George: "I haven't seen Eva yet today, have I?"
Olivia: "Not yet, but I will go to tell her myself so she knows the truth about Harry and stays away from him."
George: "Don't do that. You'll just go to fight with Harry, and he will tell her everything that happened to Lily. Then our lives will be destroyed."
Olivia: "Our lives are already ruined. We're living under constant fear and threats."
George: "Don't worry; we'll figure out who did it. Then everything will be resolved."
Olivia: "Let's say we find out. What will happen then?"
George: "We'll inform Lily Rose, and we'll get rid of them all."
