As Odelia gazed out the window of the Granger family palace, Mr. Granger perused the news on his iPad.

"Call him," Mr. Tom instructed.

"Excuse me, Father," Odelia replied.

"I see you're worried about your husband. Call him and put my mind at ease," Mr. Tom urged.

Odelia slumped into a chair opposite her father. "If only I were worried, Father. He's out carousing with Harry."

"Why don't you two go out together for dinner or a night on the town?" Mr. Tom suggested.

Odelia couldn't bring herself to answer. She rose abruptly and left the room, while Mr. Granger replaced his glasses and returned to his reading.

Meanwhile, Lily Rose sat in her hotel room gazing out at the street when Carol appeared at her side.

"What's on your mind?" Carol asked.

"My daughter. She could be alive and everyone knows it," Lily Rose replied.

"I don't mean to burst your bubble, but what if someone is lying to you and you believed it because you want so badly for her to be alive?" Carol countered.

"You don't understand, Carol. When I see myself alone with no family, there could be a daughter growing up somewhere," Lily Rose explained.

"But how can we find her? Who will tell us?" Carol asked.

"Olivia and Andrew won't talk, but there is someone else. The old woman Vincent brought to help me on the day of the birth. She knows something, I'm sure of it," Lily Rose replied.

"That's assuming she's still alive," Carol pointed out.

"She used to live close by. I'll find her no matter how slim the hope," Lily Rose declared.

The next morning, the board of directors convened in the meeting room under the leadership of Mr. Greycroft.

"Lily Rose's proposal was intriguing at first, but it lost its luster in my eyes when she demanded fifty percent of the company's shares and the chairmanship of the board. On the other hand, the company has many debts, but I believe we can pay them off without the need for a new partner and thereby preserve our reputation," Mr. Greycroft stated.

"I don't think (company name) will give us any more time, they've been pressuring us for two months already," Adrian argued.

"I've spoken to them, and the matter is resolved," George interjected.

"But we've become the talk of the town, George. If we don't act quickly, our reputation will be ruined," Alfred added.

The tension in the room was palpable as the fate of the company hung in the balance.
Alfred said, "But we have become the talk of the market, George. If the deal doesn't go through, we will plummet like a free fall in the stock market."

"Mr. Alfred is right," Odilia added. "Having Lily Rose or Mr. Bernard on board would have been a powerful promotional move for us. And if things fall apart now, the tables will turn against us. Besides, Lily Rose is one of us, Eva's sister, and my dearest friend. There's no need to worry."

Mr. George interjected, "Since this is everyone's opinion..."

But his words were cut short by the entrance of Mrs. Olivia. "George, we need to talk now," she said.

"We are in a meeting, my dear," George replied.

"If I came all the way here, it must be important," Olivia retorted.

"We can leave now. The meeting is over anyway," Odilia said.

Everyone got up and left the room. "Speak," George said to Olivia.

"Something very bad has happened, George," she replied.

At the hotel, Carol sat in the company of Lily Rose, who held the precious stone delicately in her hands. Lily Rose spoke, "All of them have families to return to, Carol. Even Harry, when I saw his daughter's tears, I couldn't see anything else if my own daughter were beside me."

Carol replied, "If she's alive, we'll find her."

Lily Rose retorted, "She's alive, I believe that. But where is she? She could be calling another woman 'Mom,' living a life that isn't hers, all because of Olivia. She snatched me from my mother's hands and made me call her 'Mom.' Then, she threw me onto the street, and that wasn't enough for her. She had to take my daughter away from me too."

Lily Rose broke down in tears, and Carol tried to console her, but she couldn't. Then, they received a call saying they had found the old woman who gave birth to Lily Rose. The two women rushed to the woman's house. When Lily Rose mentioned herself to the old woman, the woman remembered her right away. But she hid her hope because what she said agreed with what the others who Lily Rose had asked had said. The old woman even led her to her daughter's grave.

After the girl was born dead, Vincent didn't care about her, nor did he care that she was human. He threw her in the trash. But the old woman took her and buried her under a cypress tree. Lily Rose and the old woman went to the tree and found the grave. As much as Lily Rose wanted her daughter to be alive, she was content to have a grave where she could go whenever she needed someone related to her in blood.".

Lily Rose sat there for more than two hours, talking to her daughter about everything inside her, about what had happened to her and what she wished had happened, about everything she had experienced and everything that she would make them experience. Finally, Lily Rose stood up and left with the woman, returning to the front of the old woman's house, then parted ways after thanking her for helping them in the past and for respecting her daughter's humanity.

After their departure, the old woman took out her phone, her hands trembling as she dialed a number and said, "I've done what you asked me to do. Please leave my grandkids alone now."
