At her favorite restaurant, Eva met with Sara. While Eva was setting up the table, she noticed that Sara's eyes were red and asked her with concern what was the reason. Sara answered in a crying voice: "My dad."
Eva asked her, "Your dad? What happened to him?"
Sara continued crying without saying a word. Eva tried to comfort her and asked her about the reason for her tears, listing many superficial reasons that Sara usually complained about, but each time Sara shook her head in denial. Finally, she told Eva that the reason was Lily Rose. Eva was surprised by her answer, and when she asked her how she tied her dad to Lily Rose in one sentence, Sara told her that her dad was in a relationship with her.
The girl justified her thinking that her dad had lied to her about his whereabouts when she called him the previous night, while she knew he was with Lily Rose, as she had seen them together. Eva tried to convince Sara that they were old friends and that their meeting was a reunion of old companions. It was natural for them to be happy to see each other after all these years. However, all these eloquent sentences that Eva tried to put together would not convince Sara, even for a moment. What she saw with her own eyes was much deeper than its surface, and she knew that.
When Eva sensed that her words were not helpful, she changed her defense of her cousin's son to say that he was a handsome and single man. There would be many girls and women for him to date, even if he was not with Lily Rose. Instead of comforting the wounded teenager, these words increased her sadness as she remembered her father's promise to her mother. When her mother took her last breath, he promised that he would not allow another woman to enter his life, especially Lily Rose. When Sara recalled this scene that she saw when she was ten years old, her voice became louder, and she accused Lily Rose of being the reason for the separation of her parents. She even saw her as the reason for her mother's death. Eva tried to calm her down and remind her that Lily Rose was not in the country at that time, but Sara knew that her imagination was always present between them, that imagination which she didn't know if it was strong enough to destroy what tied Harry to his wife at the beginning of their marriage, or if that bond was shaky from the beginning. This was an idea that Sara didn't want to let into her mind at all. It was easier for her to blame a woman she had never known and who meant nothing to her, rather than the two people who opened her eyes to life between them. However, in the end, Eva succeeded in convincing her of one thing, that Harry, her father, loved her more than anything else in this world.
In the western part of the city, Adrian sat in a fancy restaurant. Anyone who sees a complete picture of the restaurant at that moment would quickly realize that Adrian resembled a noisy sound in a song with elegantly arranged lyrics accompanied by dancing music in harmony. He looked like a little inexperienced child waiting eagerly to receive his gift. At the same time, an elegant lady with an unpretentious and carefree attitude approached. When Adrian noticed her, which didn't take seconds by the way, he stood up and walked towards the chair opposite him to pull it for her. Lily Rose sat down and he sat opposite her, staring at her features until she interrupted his trance and asked him if he was bothered by waiting for her. However, he humbly revealed his excitement to see her and told her that he had arrived earlier than the time they had agreed to meet by a good period. Lily Rose smiled and looked away while Adrian felt embarrassed by his response. The waiter came to offer them the menu and he was like a savior in Adrian's eyes. He quickly raised the menu and began to wander among the food items.
As Lily Rose interrupted him, Adrian couldn't help but feel curious about the reason for their meeting. "Perhaps you're wondering why we're here," Lily Rose said with a sly smile. Adrian couldn't hide his intrigue and responded, "I can't deny it. Ever since your arrival, I've heard whispers from every direction. But I would rather hear it from you."
