Summer had always brought peace to Daisy's mind. That didn't mean it wasn't filled with teenage drama, chaos and gossip. But it was still peace. No matter how much Gigi and Dara would sometimes fight; how much Nicole would fall in love with some cute boy from the Club and get heartbroken shortly after; and how much Shayla would stress out the group about having to keep up with the latest fashion trends from the city. The group was perfect how it was, and all of her friend's perks and interests brought peace to Daisy.
This summer was no different. But somehow she felt less connected to the people she was closest with. It was her own fault, though. She knew it. She was the one keeping secrets, she was the one not being able to open up to her friends. And those damned ocean blue eyes staring at her from the lawn, while playing football with his brother, did not help the situation either.
"Oh, okay, but did you know that she was one of the last people to visit Lindsay Lohan's beach club in Mykonos before it closed?" Gigi told the group in a serious tone, as the teens sat on the small pier next to the Fisher residence. Nicole was softly brushing through Shayla's hair, as Shayla softly brushed through Daisy's hair, who sat on the ground. It was something the trio started doing in kindergarten and have kept up with since then. The blonde was holding her Margarita glass in her hand while listening to her friend's conversation.
"Are you serious?" Shayla asked, her hand movement stopping in Daisy's hair, making the blonde groan in annoyance. Laughing slightly at her friend, Shayla continued brushing the soft blonde waves, making Daisy smile happily.
"Mm-hmm," Gigi responded, ignoring the small interaction.
"Oh, my God, I'd die for Lindsay. Ugh, she's a queen," Shayla said, throwing her head back.
"Ibiza is superior, though," Nicole retorted, earning a nod from Daisy, who held up her glass in support, "Preach!"
"As if," Shayla argued, rolling her eyes at her best friends' antics.
"You don't agree?" Nicole asked, shocked.
"No," Shayla retorted, turning to Steven, "Back me up"
"Yes, no, I... Yes, I agree," he replied unsure, looking from his girlfriend to Nicole and Daisy.
"He's lost," Nicole laughed, making Shayla turn around, "Shut up."
"He doesn't know what he's talking about"
"He knows what he's talking about. He's on my side," Shayla protested, pouting childishly.
"Leave those poor souls to their believes, Nicky," Daisy laughed, standing up from her spot, "As my father likes to say, taste is not arguable."
