Summer soon turned into Daisy's regular routine. She woke up at 7:30 a.m., did yoga down by the Pool and then shared Breakfast with her beloved grandparents. Normally she would be picked up around Lunch Time by Shayla and Nicole to go to the Beach, Shopping or just chill at the Country Club.
Today was different though. Today everything seemed to change.
Not only did she oversleep and turned her morning Yoga to a morning walk, well more lunchtime walk, but she had not eaten a thing yet, making her stomach grumble profoundly.
Secondly, did Nicole bail on her to prepare for her Party while Shayla was currently Dress shopping in China Town, New York City. Leaving Daisy without any plans for the entire day. But Daisy was never known for her patience. Hence, why the blonde was currently walking cluelessly around Cousins, trying to find something to occupy her time with.
The blonde was deep in thought when she reached a little pier that looked cosy enough. Looking around content Daisy sat down while picking up her new copy of Pride and Prejudice out of her Tote Bag. She was about to resume her reading when suddenly the sun disappeared. Frowning slightly, the blonde looked up only to be surprised by the face of Conrad Fisher before her.
"Are you stalking me now?" the boy chuckled, as he mustered the blonde.
"As if", the blonde scoffed, closing her book, "What is that supposed to mean?"
Grinning slightly, the boy sat down on Daisy's left, stealing the book out of her hands, "I work down at the Pier, helping a friend of my Mom with sailing"
"You work?" Daisy asked surprised, trying to steal her book back to which the boy only put up his arm far away from the smaller girl's reach.
"Yes," he merely replied, before looking at the cover of the book, "Pride and Prejudice? Haven't you read that already like thousand times?"
"So?" the girl asked annoyed, again trying to steal it back to which the boy only chuckled before handing it back to the blonde.
"Why aren't you at the Beach with Shayla and Nicole?" he asked curiously, wondering how the girl who was always busy had time to read by the water.
"Shayla is in New York choosing her Deb Ball dress while Nicole is running errands for her Party tonight," Daisy stated in a Duh tone while putting her book back into her tote bag.
"You are going to the Deb again this year?" Conrad asked, even though he knew the answer already, glancing sideways at the girl.
"Mhm," she only grumbled, while staring at the ocean.
"Who are you taking?" Conrad cautiously asked, wary of the answer.
