After what had happened on the debutant ball, Daisy had gone home shortly after the Fishers and Conklins had left. She wanted to give the families privacy, but was anxiously waiting to hear from Conrad. She needed to be there for him.

That is how the blonde found herself sitting on the beach in a black polka dotted summer dress and a grey sweatshirt thrown on top while the sun rose in the distant. Her hair was freed from last nights styling and thrown in a unusual messy bun, while Conrad approached from behind her, sitting down next to her on the sand.

"Thank you for meeting me," the older Fisher started, looking onto the ocean.

"Anytime, Connie," Daisy replied, taking in his side profile.

"She agreed to do the treatment. I can't believe she said yes," he said, eyes still glued onto the horizon.

"You did it. You changed her mind," Daisy smiled, grabbing his hand and intervening their fingers.

"Oh, it wasn't me. It was Jere. He did it," Conrad replied, finally glancing at the girl, a small smile gracing his features, "Daisy, I'm sorry for everything."

"You don't have anything to be sorry for. I should have heard you out. You were doing to make your mom happy. I mean you were going through all this alone. I wish you had told me everything sooner. I didn't know it was that bad," Daisy said, eyes now focused on her hand in Conrads.

"I wanted to. I almost did a couple of times," he replied, using his other hand to lightly push Daisys chin up to face him, "And don't apologize. You are here now."

"Conrad-" the blonde started, but was cut off by the boy before she could finish her sentence.

"Daisy, let me go first. There's so many things I want to say to you," Conrad started, pulling the girl to stand up beside him, "I need you. I don't just need you, my body aches for you. I still remember the first time I saw you on the beach, all those years ago. I didn't know then. But I know now. I love you Daisy Astor, and I have always loved you."

Tears were prickling up in Daisys eyes, as she glanced up at Conrad, "How can you be so sure?"

"Because there is no other way to explain what I feel for you. Daisy, you keep me grounded. You keep me calm. You make me feel safe."

"I- I love you, too, Conrad. But I am so afraid of it," Daisy finally admitted, eyes looking down at her toes in the sand.

"We will figure it out together," Conrad smiled, putting his hands on the sides of her face, making her face him again, "I promise you I will never hurt you"

Everything Daisy believed in crumbled right in front of her, as she looked into those ocean eyes. Every doubt, every fear she held about love vanished, and everything she saw was just sunlight.

Smiling softly, the girl leaned in to kiss Conrad, committing fully to the boy.

However, the two teens were unaware of the storm seething up in the distance, ready to swallow them whole.
