It was weird

It was weird. Driving the same path that Daisy had driven so many times before, coming home from the Fishers House.

But the bouquet of blue hydreangas sitting in the passenger seat was worth it. A smile crept up as she glanced at them. No matter what was happening between her and Conrad, she would always have Susannah.

The pavers of her driveway sounded soft under the wheels, as Daisy approached the Manor. She smiled softely at Christopher, handing him her keys, before turning around to walk into the foyer.

"Miss Daisy, do you have a second?" he quickly called after her, jumping up the stairs to come in next to her, "Your father called when you were gone. A letter arrived this morning, you are accepted into Stanford. Congratulations."

Daisy heart sank into her chest as she took his words in. She was accepted into Stanford. A dream she shared with him.

"Stanford?" the shrill voice of Kendall sounded from the staircase, "I didn't know you applied!"

Frowning slightly at her friend, the blonde quickly turned back to Christopher, "Thank you"

He smiled softely at her, before going back outside to park her car properly.

"Don't ignore her," Ashton quickly agreed with his friend, coming to Kendalls side, wearing a pair of black linen shorts and a matching shirt.

"I applied together with Conrad a couple of month ago," Daisy admitted, rolling her eyes at her friends before walking into the kitchen to grab a vase for her flowers, "Honestly I even forgot I had applied. I'm defintely not going now, anyways."

She didn't want to sound mean. She didn't understand why she felt so defensive all of the sudden. It was their right to ask. But her heart broke a little at the could haves and should haves she and Conrad shared.

"You better not," Kendall exclaimed, jumping onto a counter next to Daisy, "Otherwise I will need to befriend another Nerd I can copy notes from"

Ashton snorted at his friend, leaning onto the counter next to her, a coffee mug in his hands.

"Shut up," Daisy laughed, throwing a leave from the Hydreangas at her, before concentrating back on the flowers, arranging them perfectly in the vase.

"Believe me, all other nerds at Yale wouldn't look half as cute as this one," Ashton smirked, passing the mug to Daisy as she looked at it longingly.

Smiling brightly, the blonde took it from him, pecking his lips, "I agree. Besides, I could never leave this trio. For life, remember?"

"For life," Kendall agreed, laughing, as she snatched the mug for herself, "But now lets plan something fun to do today. It's supposed to turn 95 degrees today"

"We can hang out down at the beach," Ashton suggested, carrying the vase into the living room, where Daisy instructed him to put it.

"Noooo," Kendall whined, pouting at the others, "I don't want to rot there again, is there nothing else to do? How about Karaoke or something?"

"I don't know about Karaoke, but we could check out the Boardwalk," Daisy shrugged, as Ashton fell down onto the white sofa, pulling Daisy down with him.

"No way," he groaned, hiding his face in her shoulder, as Kendall grinned at the idea, "I love it!"

"Then it's settled," Daisy grinned, standing up and pulling Ashton up with her.

The trio began their shenanigans at the Arcade, where Kendall and Ashton were currently destroying the blonde at Bowling

The trio began their shenanigans at the Arcade, where Kendall and Ashton were currently destroying the blonde at Bowling.

"Urgh, I suck," Daisy complained, frowning at her friends, taking a sip from the beer that Ashton snagged for them with his fake ID.

"You do," Kendall laughed, picking up a lilac ball, preparing for her next shot.

"Don't you worry, blondie," Ashton smirked, picking up a ball for her, "I will show you my secret technique."

"Your secret technique?" Daisy laughed, gratefully taking the pink ball from his hands, just as Kendall stroke another strike.

"Hell yeah!" the brunette girl exclaimed, holding her hands up as she stuck her toung out at her friends, "And that's without lessons from Ashton"

"Oh, shut it," Ashton laughed, leading Daisy to the lane, "Daisy just needs a little more edge."

"Ha ha," Daisy laughed dryly at her friends, blushing slightly as Ashton put his arms around her, guiding her arms to throw the ball.

"Let go, in 3, 2, 1," he breathed into her ear, "Now!"

And with a pig push, Daisy threw the ball onto the lane, watching excitingly as she hit her first strike.

"Oh my goodness," Daisy screamed, jumping up and down, "I did it! I can't believe I did it!"

Ashton smiled a rare, bright smile, as he watched the blondes excitment, picking her up from the the ground and spinning her around as she giggled excitedly.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it," Kendall intervened, rolling her brown eyes at the two, "You are good at everything."

But not even the brunette could hold off the smile as she saw the happiness radiating off the blonde in this very moment. It was something she hadn't truly seen in months.

Daisy was still laughing, when Ashton put her back onto the ground, kissing her lips softly, smiling down at the girl.

"Fuck"

"Fuck"
