"So what is special about this place anyway? Why not go to the Hamptons?"
Kendall asked from the backseat, arms leaning on the driver's seat, as she glanced at Daisy sitting in the passenger seat.
"Don't even try to compare the two," Daisy smirked, putting her sunglasses onto her nose, as she dangled her legs onto the dashboard, "Cousins Beach is the most magical place to grace this beautiful earth and you should feel lucky to accompany me"
"Believe me, we are," Ashton interrupted the girls, a cigarette hanging loosely from his lips, as he drove Daisy's white Mercedes with one hand, the other hanging out of the open window. The wind clashed into his curls, the sun shining softly onto his tan skin, "Kendall has been dreaming from this place ever you told us back in September"
"Well, you two better behave yourselfs," Daisy chuckled, eyes gazing outside as Ashton's hand found its way onto her lap, "My grandparents will be back at the end of the summer and the place has to survive until then."
"Oh, please," Kendall chuckled, leaning back onto her seat, as the trip passed the sign Welcome To Cousins, "Your grandparents will adore us."
"I bet they will," Daisy laughed, trying to avoid the kick that Kendall sent her from behind.
As every year, the sound of pavers underneath the car's tires alerted Daisy of her destination. A weird feeling grew in her stomach as she took upon the sight of the only place that had ever brought her peace. But it didn't feel the same.
Her grandparents weren't there to greet them, instead, her door was opened by Christopher, whom her grandparents had left behind to take care of Daisy and her friends.
