Down off the coast of Brighton, is an island, known as the Southern Isle of Britain. There are all sorts of sights to see. Headquarters from the World Wars, towns that feel like they are from out of time, and a futuristic land where Technology has developed well.

But there is one thing that sets it apart from the mainland: the Railway. Because here, Steam still has a place here as the main motive power.

This morning started out like any normal day, the fire lighter came, and started up the fires.

The first to wake up was Robert, the Shunting Engine.

Robert is the number 14 engine on the Southern Island Railway. He often is working as a shunting engine in the big station at Homestead. Like the many pilots before him, he can be cheeky at times.

Robert looked around, and saw that the other engines were all asleep.

The first engine was an H2 Atlantic named Annie.

She was an engine who was once a proud express engine, but was sold to the railway when bigger engines came to replace her
