Day 30 on Rimworld,

It's been almost ten days since we sent the signal to Earth, and we still haven't had an update on the fate of that signal, what happened after it was intercepted, whether Director Greitfen received the signal, and what was actually happening around Earth at this time. I thought about it, reclining in the grass with a flake ready to snort because that bite on my left leg is still a problem. It's a long story.

But overall, taking hard drugs on Rimworld was positive, they increased the productivity, and peace of mind of the mechanites in the brain giving them a significant boost in mood, and was the only downside of hard drugs on Rimworld according to Dei, addiction, and overdose. Damn, so I can use drugs every day, and not risk addiction? Unlike the normal effect on the human brain, these drugs directly affected the mechanists who knew how to process the drug that flows through the body and prevents addiction, as long as there is a limit to the consumption of the drug.

That was an extremely big plus for me, but, of course, there was already one small problem with my mechanites: according to them, I am fascinated by drugs and I am literally a quasi-addict because they are as attractive to me as men. So whatever, it looks like I'm kind of addicted to drugs. Furthermore, Dei advised me to stock up on as many different kinds of drugs as possible, from ambrosia to yayyo, but not to try smoking weed. When asked why, she said that it reduces productivity, but above all, speed and reaction in case of an attack. Better quality drugs are those that are under the category of hard drugs because they boost mood, productivity, manipulation, and vision far more than Rimworld's marijuana.

Alcohol also fell into that category, it only slightly affected movement and consciousness, but it was twice as good as ambrosia for mood in moderation. Interesting facts, interesting facts... ever since we started systematically butchering and cooking human corpses, Dei seemed... happy? I don't know how to describe the change in her tone, but keep her happy... we got bad food poisoning a couple of times because we're all crap at cooking. Except maybe Jose, we haven't gotten poisoned by his food yet.

While I was working in the field, planting psychoid herbs, heal root, rice, and other plant nasties, I heard from Dei that there was a trading caravan nearby and they were selling everything from clothes, animals, and maybe even some exotic drugs. Of course, I didn't want to miss it, and I told Dei to pass it on to the Gard so that Jose could negotiate with them. I told him that we are looking for animals that can provide us with plenty of wool if they have it on offer, food, and of course drugs.

With those words, a harmless trade took place in which Jose had complete dominance, lowering the price of their products, not because his statistical value in social situations represented charm, but manipulativeness and strategic eloquence when haggling over fixed prices. We had enough silver in our reserves, while Gard located a small silver mine in the south that I plan to mine once we finish the most important jobs around our base, such as the field, flooring all the rooms, shearing the sheep and the purchased bison which we eloquently named "Greitfen" and the cowboy hat made of human skin. I understand now why God created an infinite universe... so that He could hide from us.

On the other hand, there was another incident that was directly related to the pathos of all the rooms, when Jose was outside the base, collecting ambrosia so that we could make money selling it, or I could snort it because of my natural addiction. Look at it this way, when I was building the workshop, one of the jobs was stone cutting. Now, it looks like someone got killed by a rock, but no, it's actually the catalyst for the fact that I have a bite on my leg.
