Flying into his office was none other than hawks. He took off his visors and he yawned.
Another meeting and modelling job.

He stretched and soon heard his door creak open, he turned to see a little girl. She was wearing a blue shirt and a pair of black shorts. Her short hair was tied back and she had a bracelet, clearly given to her by the parent.

She stepped forward her h/c hair in her face, her skin matching another hero he knew, in fact she looked quite a lot like them.

"What's up baby bird? Where's your parents?" He asked walking closer to her and kneeling, though she didn't answer.

"Alright. What's your name then?" He asked gently. She stood closer and cleared her throat.

"Alice (or whatever you wanna name them)" she said simply, holding a teddy close to her chest, looking around his office.

"Alright, come sit and I'll see if I can find your parents" he said, offering her a seat on the lounge in his office.

She climbed up and sat quietly, playing with her teddy while Hawks had a quick look around the office, just asking if anyone had lost a kid unfortunately, no one said yes.

He came back and sighed, he couldn't really go looking anywhere else, one it wasn't his kid and two the parent could come back at any moment.

He messaged a couple of heroes to go look for him while he kept the girl in his office, though she got very bored.

"I wanna go home.." she'd mumble, along with asking him where her parent was. He didn't have an answer so he just told her they'd be there soon.

He was able to get a blanket and after 20 minutes of asking her what she wanted he finally figured it out. She wanted to play some games and watch something on his phone, which he didn't mind as long as it kept her occupied.

It was around 3 hours before he finally got a call. She handed the phone over, a little spooked by the loud ringtone.

He sat beside her and she cuddle him as he answered the unknown number.

"Hey this is Hawks, how can I help?" He started hearing a panicked voice on the other end, though they seemed like they were trying to be calm.

"Um hi, it's H/n" you stated, clearing your throat. He chuckled and smiled.

"What do I owe the pleasure of getting a call from you, hm?" He asked. You two only saw each other, you never spoke to him, rarely speaking to anyone else as well.

"Um.. I apologise, I was told you had a little girl in your office?" You said a little awkwardly.

He froze up as it clicked in his mind. He turned to C/n (child name)/ alice and he immediately saw a resemblance.

"I do. Their names alice/ C/n. Ring a bell?" He said, touching the little girls nose gently, earning a giggle.

Immediately he heard you sigh in relief, and in the background he heard you running.

"I'll be there in a minute, I'm sorry" you quickly told him, ready to wrap up the conversation.

"No worries, she was a delight. she'll be right here when you arrive" he smiled and soon you hung up, handing the phone back to alice/ c/n.

It didn't take long until you arrived and once you did, your child immediately noticed. She squealed and ran to you, almost dropping Hawks' phone on the floor.
You knelt down and hugged her as you sighed in relief yet again.

"You scared me! You can't run off like that!" You immediately said afterwards, still a little panicky.

"I'm sorry.. but there was a cool bird" she told you and you sighed, it was clear she meant hawks because if not she would have never made it into his office.

You picked her up and held her on your waist as you finally made eye contact with Hawks.

"I'm sorry again, I hope she wasn't too much trouble" you said figuring out he had her for about 2-3 hours by now.

"Like I said, she was a delight. Only problem we had was figuring out what to watch" he laughed a little and you chuckled, shaking your head.

"Not to.. intrude or anything but why was she with you if you were on parole? Isn't there another parent you could leave her with?" He asked and you froze, looking at Alice who was ready to fall asleep.

"Um.. no. They didn't stay long after she was born. She's also too young to start daycare, and I don't have much options when it comes to leaving her places. I normally go to aizawa or nezu when I need to leave her somewhere" you explained, mumbling a little since it was still a sensitive topic for you.

Hawks immediately understood and nodded his head, smiling a little.
"Well, we don't often have the same shift so bring her here. It's dangerous walking around with a 2year old, especially with the crime rates increasing lately" he suggested- we'll sort of demanded.

You knew he wouldn't mind and you could tell she liked hawks, but you didn't want to be a burden on him. You didn't want him worrying about a kid that wasn't his but he insisted.

"Next time I'll be prepared, I'll buy some colouring ins, books for her to read, blank paper to draw, some toys and of course a little bed. Always great to take a mid-day nap" he joked, smiling, earning a chuckle from yourself.

"Thank you. You don't have to and if at anytime you don't want to look after her anymore tell me and I'll figure something else out" you explained, not wanting to make him feel like he had to do it.

He smiled and shook his head. "That won't be necessary but thanks" he responded, patting alice on the head.

"Might want to get her to bed, poor thing looks drained" he said, chuckling as she tried to keep her eyes open.

He handed you the blanket he had, letting you wrap it around her.

"That was my favourite blanket as a kid, I'm sure she'll love it just as much as I did" he said and you felt slightly bad for taking it, but you both knew he wouldn't use it but Alice would.

You turned and walked out the door, hawks behind you.

"Thank you again, for everything honestly" you said honestly and Alice smiled.

"Like I said, no worries. I'll see you guys later. Bye alice" he smiled, waving at the tired little girl.

You then nudged alice to say goodbye as you were leaving and she did-..

"Bye daddy" she waved, smiling bright and you immediately froze while hawks laughed a little.

You sighed and shook your head, embarrassed but you couldn't explain that he wasn't her dad, she was 2.

You then quickly left in hopes to avoid the embarrassment, not even saying goodbye to hawks.
