5: Confession gone wrong

Next day...

Ren Greens:

Today is the day, I sent Caleb the time to meet up. But he texted he want a bit early, and he also texted that he had to meet Aisha at the same fountain as well. But, good thing it is the weekends, because I will be a tired ass person. I am quite busy with my projects and homework. But I managed unlike Caleb, he has a disaster of schedule. What the fuck! If he didn't get into too many sports scholarships he will fine.

Boy, he needs help with his schedule. Really he does. I sighed and I started to cough again. I went to the bathroom again, this is the fifth time today. I puke up blood and flower petals again. I felt the heat and pain in my throat and I vomited blood and a few more petals. I took some medicine. I might have that dangerous disease. No, don't overthink, Ren. You are fine. 

I left the dorm room and I had my letter in my hand, then Leah pulled me aside. " So, are you going to confess to your one true love? " She teased me and I rolled my eyes, playfully. I smiled at her, " Yeah, I hope he likes me back, " I smiled, and she sighed. Then she mumble something, but I couldn't hear it. I wonder what did she said. I shrugged it off and we were walking to the fountain. But Leah took me to somewhere else, " Can you cancel the thing? Because soon it is going to rain, " Leah looked at me with a concerned look.

" I won't sick, Lee Lee. I will be fine, plus you are not going to lose me. Okay? Plus, maybe we could wait for 30 minutes. So what do you want to do? " I asked to her, and she looked at me. " Oh I don't know, but you want to walk around the campus. You know walking around the campus is fun, " she suggested and that is a great idea. 

We walked around the campus, and we looked around the place. We like looking around the campus for exploring new places. But today is special day. " So, what did you say in that letter? " Lee Lee asked as we walked, I glance at her. " Well, in this letter I said all of my feelings to him, " I smiled at her with reassured smile. She sighed as we walked, we went into the library of the campus. I love the library when I need some quiet space to do my work. 

" What if Caleb doesn't like you back? " She looked at me with concerned look on her face. I know my sister was so worried about me since Louis and Lily died. They both had leukemia when they were like 3 years old. Our parents worked really hard tp get the treatment, but that was never enough. Me and Leah tried to help, but they said they will find a way. But it was too late when they got the money. 

Louis and Lily died in the hospital that day, if only I took the offer. But I denied it, that could of save them. But I declined the offer. Caleb and Aisha don't know about this. Aisha might use this in her advantage and she will use this against me. Caleb will be too busy to comfort me. Leah was the only person who was there for me, for the last two years. She promise to be there for me no matter what. 

" I don't know, what happens? " I looked at her with a confused look on my face. She sighed, and she went to one section of the library with 'special medical diseases' as a label on the shelf. She took out a book with the title of 'hanahaki disease', the one-sided love disease. I know what it is. I seen on the news and shows or movies on the TV. " I won't get it, I am fine. Plus are you trying to stall me from trying confess to Caleb? Because I know your plan and your friends help you on it. Don't worry, I will spend time with you, " I knew her plan and she was shocked. 

" You are a smart person."

" Thank you, I appreciate you are protecting me."

" I know, blooming flower, " she was the only person who calls me by that now. Caleb first called me by that, then Leah and then Aisha. Caleb was the only person who knew all of my secrets, or was. Now, I tell all my secrets to Leah. I missed out old friend group, but Leah sometimes invites me to her friend group. Which is lgbtqia+ safe. 

" Okay Lee Lee, we can stall for a bit, " I answered to her and she smiled. But she kept the book she took and I took a book with the title of ' Hush Hush' by Becca Fitzpatick. I went to sit beside Leah.

" You got this, but it's raining, " Leah remarked, but I don't care. I went to the fountain and I texted Caleb was coming. I was walking to the fountain and I saw Caleb with a umbrella, but it's raining. I was about to go there. Then I saw Aisha and she was running towards him. Then Caleb hugged her and I hid behind one of the poles. I watched from a far and Leah was behind me. 

" Maybe we should go, " Leah suggested, but I didn't leave yet. " No, not yet, " I went to see what was going on. But I kept my distance and I stay near the pole. I can see they were talking, Leah put her hand on my shoulder as we watched this from a far. Then my eyes went widened, and I dropped the letter, Caleb and Aisha kissed.

I was crying, " Ren, I told you we should get out of here, " Leah repeated what she told me. Then I ran out of there, I went to the bathroom. There is like three bathroom for ganders for this college. But they are all over the place. I can hear Leah running to me and I went into the bathroom. 

I cried and cried, I can't believe this. Caleb and Aisha are dating, but why didn't Leah told me? Wait, she doesn't have Instagram. I have my hands on the sink and Leah came running into the bathroom with me inside. Then I started to cough again, Leah held me. " It's okay, it's okay, " Leah comforted me, and I vomited blood and petals again. Leah gasped, " No, no, no, no, " she repeated, and when I was done. 

" We need to get you to the doctor, right now, " she announced, and she took my hand. Then we went to her car. " I never thought you will have this disease, " Leah remarked, as we went into the car. Then she started to drive, " We need to get you to the doctor now."
