11: Reconnect and memories

Ren Greens: 

Great, this is great. I am here with my crush who used to be my best friend, Caleb. I don't know what to do now because we have to do a group work. I am forced to do this with Caleb because our English teacher told us to. " So what do you want to do for our debate essay? " Caleb looked at me with a smile. We're in his dorm room, he has no roommate. Which is good for him, I like sharing my dorm with my sister because we are family.

" I don't know, something * sigh. * I usually do these alone, but I am forced to do this with you. So I do not know what to do with the project, " I answered with sigh, I had my arms on the table, crossed. I had my head laying on it and he looked at me. " Look, Ren. Caleb looked at me with a sad expression on his face and he put his hand on my shoulder. He pulled me into a hug, I don't remember when the last time he gave me a hug. It felt nice for once, I hugged back tight. I wanted to cry, but I didn't and I kept my feelings in. " You don't have to keep those feelings in, Ren, " Caleb advised me, but I kept them in no matter what he said. Then he started to stroke my hair, I wanted to stop him. But I didn't, and I pushed him away from me a bit.

" We need to work on our project or else Ms. Clover will beat our asses, " I scolded Caleb, and he gave me a sheepish smile. We started to brainstorm some ideas for the essay, we were making so many ideas. But we didn't agreed on any of them, " We will never find a good idea, " I groaned, I am usually the smart one here. But I can't think, then I was about to rant some more. I felt like to vomit again. 

I looked at Caleb who was looking through some books. " Where is the bathroom? " I asked to him and he glanced at me. " Oh down the hall and on your left, " he answered and I got up. Then I went to the bathroom and I followed Caleb's instructions. I found the bathroom and I closed, then locked the door as soon I got in. I don't need Caleb to find out about this, no matter what. I need to keep this a secret, I know this is bad. But he used to be my best friend, plus he left me and Leah alone when Aisha changed.

Then I opened the toilet sit, and I started to vomit blood and flowers petals again. But the pain got worse as I kept throwing up, I did bring my meds. I flushed the toilet and I wiped my mouth of the blood. I washed my hands, I don't need Caleb care for me. But I still love the guy, the real reason I love him is because his personality and he was my best friend. He was my world, but I don't know now. I still love him. Unfortunately, I have the hanahaki disease. So I am slowly dying by the day.

I am only the first stage of this sickness. I left the bathroom and I went back to the bathroom. " Hey Caleb, I'm back, " I put on my faked smile, I've been fake smiling for the last two years. So no one knows the differences that I am smiling or fake smiling. Only Leah knows if I am smiling or fake smiling. No one else does. " Okay, I think I got an idea at last, " Caleb told to me and I smiled. Now I am showing a real smile.

" What is the idea? " I asked to him and he smiled. " We can do about personalities. Plus you are good at doing that, you know what personality is the best and the worst. But you think all personality should be care for, " Caleb answered and I like the idea. But then I check the time, I needed to get to my next class. " You have to go to your next class as well? " I nodded at Caleb's question.

" See you later, " he asked another question, I paused. I never heard that in a while and I smiled. " Yeah, see you later after classes, " I left his dorm room. My next class is nature biology, I love nature since I was a kid. That's how I earned my nickname, blooming flower. Caleb started calling me that, then Aisha and Leah. I started to like over time, but some kids made fun of me for my nickname. Over time, they stopped. Then Aisha changed and then she started making fun of me for that nickname. I tried to ignored her, in the end, it's still hurts.

I made it my class and I was on time. Like always and I went to my sit. The teacher wasn't here yet, I thought about the old times I had with my friends.

" Guys, you are slowpokes, " my sister shouted, I was slow because I carrying Lily on my shoulders. Louis was with Leah, who was faster. Caleb and Aisha were tired of the running, but I was ahead of them. We were going to the ice cream shop, " Lee Lee, don't blame us for being slow. You know we all had tired day today, " I laughed. I held Lily tightly so she wouldn't fall.

" Bubba, can you faster? " Lily asked to me and I smiled up at her. " Okay, hang on tight, Lily, " I told to her and I ran as fast as I can catch up to Leah and Louis. I was about to make to them, but Aisha beat me to it. Then Caleb was beside me and Lily, " You need help, Lily can be heavy sometimes, " Caleb offered to help me carry Lily.

" No I am fine, Caleb, " I said as I was blushing. I like Caleb for years, but I never had the guts to tell the guy. Plus, he is demiromantic and he never like a person like me. But mom warned me about liking someone or else I will get the hanahaki disease. I thought the disease was fake, but I was wrong, like dead wrong.

We made to the ice cream shop, we've been going there for years since our parents took us there, so much. The owner like us and give us a discount when we visited the shop. He was a good man. " Welcome you six, plus it is Pride month. So happy Pride month to you six, " the owner told to us. We all smiled, we chose what ice cream we wanted and I was about to pay. But Caleb beat me to it, " I beat you to it, blooming flower, " Caleb said and I giggled.

We had our ice cream and we went to the beaches. We all loved the beaches in Seaside, but the sun was setting. " I guess we've been out for a long time, " I told to everyone and they nodded. " We should get going before our parents get mad at us, " Caleb told to us and we looked at each other.

" But I want to see the sunset, Renny, " Lily said and I looked up at her. " Okay, a couple more minutes. Then we will go, " I told to her and she was smiling of joy. I hope this life ends...
