16: Aisha never changed

Caleb Rose-Brown:

I was walking down the hall with my friends. Then I saw Aisha was fighting and I never saw her fight in a while. Me and my friends watched from a far and we saw she twisted that guys' arm and flip him over.

" Who is next? " She asked and the people who were there just ran out of there. Then I saw her helped Elle, one of the other popular girls. " It's okay, no one is going to hurt you when I am here, " I heard her said, when she was hugging Elle. I was shocked and my friends as well. I never seen Aisha being so caring since back in high school.

" Did you know she was kind and caring? " Max asked to me and I nodded. " She was nicest, kindest, and caring person I met before she changed. It's complicated to explain our past," I answered and I saw Aisha and Elle were looking at us. I didn't think they will hear us, and they looked at us. " Yes, I always been. I just been pretending for the last two years, Caleb. I did it for my parents and their expectations. Plus, I never liked you and I still love Leah. But don't tell Ren or Leah or else I will beat your ass, " she warned and I took that in mind.

That's means she's been herself the whole time. She was just pretending! " But Elle is homophobic and transphobic, " one of my friends shouted. 

" No, I am not. I also pretend, I am actually genderfluid and pansexual. Me and Aisha have same shitty problems. Our parents are homophobic and transphobic, especially Aisha's. "

That's means, oh no, Aisha said she will tell her parents she is lesbian. This is bad and this is why she was act like this. For her parents, I knew her parents were bad. I could tell and I knew this is bad. Now I know why she was different than before. " I was forced to be ' straight .' But I am lesbian, and I want to be with the one person I love. But I can't, I did try to threatened my parents that I was going to leave the house. But they begged me to stay and I did. I should've took the chance when I had it. Now, I think it is my fault our friend group is gone, " she explained and she blamed herself for everything.

" And for the record, Caleb. I am going to break up with you in front of my parents. I need help with that and plus I need a plan. I've been planning with Elle, but none of ideas won't work. Plus Open house is in three months, Caleb. I need to find a way to get our friend group back. You know how to talk to Ren. I will try with Leah please, " she asked to me and I like the idea. I did want our friend group back. " You should do it, dude. You never stopped talking about you and your old friend group. Especially Ren, sound like you love them, " Max said and I slightly blushed.

But I don't like Ren, I see them as a friend. Right? " Actually, you told me you like Ren when we were like 13, " Aisha reminded me and I remember that memory. Oh shit. I did, shit. How the fuck did I forget?

" You forgot about your feelings for them. You kept ranting about your love for them, you tried to confess to them one time. I did remember that, Caleb. Plus I see you as a brother to me, not a lover. "

I looked at Elle, who hid behind Aisha. " I think I fell in love with Ren again, thanks to you, Aisha." Aisha started to laughed and Elle as well. I guess this is great. Then I remember that Ren has the disease. But I wonder who did they liked, because that person doesn't like him them back. " Uh oh, he still doesn't know. But I don't want to tell him yet, " Aisha said to Elle and I was confused as fuck. What does she mean? I mean what does she really mean?

" Ren has the disease if you are wondering, " I blurted out and Aisha looked at me with a shocked face. " What? You are telling me, my best friend has the disease. This is bad, I know I make fun of him because I am forced to. But this is bad, you know the cures for the hanahaki disease. Confess to their love to the person or surgical removal. You know that and there is five stages of the disease. Which one is they are on? " Aisha demanded to me and I knew Ren was on the second one.

I showed my two fingers and Aisha was concerned now. " The second stage, this is bad. Bad as hell. But I am surprised, they managed to survive this long. Usually the disease takes over the victim in weeks. I am surprised because Ren has a strong immune system, " Aisha explained to us and we started to walk. Aisha explained to us there is five stages to the hanahaki disease, the first one is not the painful stage. But stage two through 5 is the most painful of them all. Especially the 4 stage and 5th stage. 

We went to Aisha and Elle's dorm room. The guys put their bags down, we have two hours until our next class. " I would tell you who Ren likes, but I can't. I hurted enough people already, it is hard for me to tell this to you guys. Only Elle understands, we've been trying to find way I can apologize to Ren and Leah. Unfortunately for my ideas won't work and same does for Elle's.  We've been trying plus, I know the open house is going to be in a few months from now. I don't want to talk or see my parents. I have a big hated towards them, if you are wondering, " I felt bad for Aisha now.

She was never a bully, she was forced to be something she doesn't want. I knew her dream was to became a public speaker. She did told me her parents want her to be an actress because they are actors. So, she never changed and she did the act for her parents. Her parents are so terrible, " Then why did you follow your parents' expectations? " I asked to her and she sighed with sad tone.

" If I didn't, they will hurt Ren, Leah and you, Caleb. They are really good liars and actors, Caleb." This is bad, this is why she needs a plan. " I am in whatever you are planning, you deserve to be with Leah. We need to find a plan fast, Aisha."
