22: The confession

Two days later...

Caleb Rose-Brown:

I was mad at Aisha for taking that picture, I swear I will fight her. But one note she is good at karate. So, there is not point, but I had her phone though. She decided to stay with us for the days off we have on our  But she got mad and was about to beat me up. Until Ren woke up and Aisha ran into Leah's room, I put Aisha's phone in Leah's room. Then I went to check on Ren, " Hey blooming flower, how are you feeling? " I asked to Ren and they looked at me. 

" I am fine, but my throat still hurts. I want the pain to go away, " they answered in a quiet voice and they need their meds again. I went to get the meds for Ren and I got them. I give them the pills and Ren took them with water. I went to check their temperature and their forehead felt a bit hot. So, I walked back to the kitchen to make some honey lemon tea. I put the water in the kettle and I boiled the water.

Then I went to get some lemon from the fridge and get the honey from the pantry. I took a mug from the cabinets. Then I put two tablespoon of honey and I cut the lemon into two. I took one of the halves, I squeezed the juice out of the lemon into the mug. Then the water was done boiling and I put water the mug. I mixed the tea with a spoon, then I put the spoon into the sink. 

Then I went to Ren's room, who was on their laptop. I sighed, " Ren, I told you, you don't have to do class work, you need some rest, " I scolded them, softly and they closed the laptop. " Sorry, " they said, and they started to cough again. I put the mug on their nightstand, I helped them get back on the bed. " You really need rest, this sickness won't go away on it's own, " I said and I knew Ren have the hanahaki disease.

I have to find a way soon, but how? I am so dead if I don't find a way to confess to Ren. I don't want to lose them, and -

" Caleb, you are blushing, " Ren observed and I was blushing. I was thinking about Ren and their condition. I need to find a way, and I looked away. " You okay, Caleb? " Ren said in a soft voice. I didn't answer them and I knew I have to answer. So, I glanced at Ren and they glanced at me back. I didn't know if I should kiss them or don't. " I am okay, blooming flower. I was just thinking about your condition and you are dying slowly. But I can't lose you as well, * sighs *. I know this sounds stupid and dumb. I don't want to lose you as well, you are my best friend. It was my fault for abandoning you, to be honest. I broke up with Aisha, " I answered and they looked at me with shocked.

" I thought you love her, " they stared at me, but I need tell them I love them. " I didn't, I was forced to date her because of her parents. Aisha never wanted to hurt either, but she was forced as well. She was forced to pretend to be rude and mean. But she could never do it, but no matter what she kept fighting back with her parents all the time. She still love your sister, even if it's hurt her more than Leah. Plus, I never loved Aisha and the one person I love is dying in front of me, " I confessed to them and they started to blush.

" You... love me? " They asked to me, and I took their hands in mine. " I always did, but I forgot about those feelings years ago. But now, I saw that I love you and always will love you with all of my heart, " then I kissed Ren on the lips.

Ren Greens: 

I was shocked that Caleb is kissing me. Caleb Allen Rose-Brown is fucking kissing me right now. I kissed back, it felt magical. Then he pulled away, then I coughed a bit. Then I felt no pain in my throat anymore. Caleb did love me after all, and I hugged him. He hugged me back, then we heard a camera click. Caleb and I looked at my doorway, we saw Aisha and Leah took a picture. I could tell Caleb is mad, " I swear I beat both of your guys' asses if you don't stop taking pictures, " Caleb was mad, and I buried my head in the nook of his neck.

" Okay, we will stop, for now, " I heard my sister said, then they both left. " Is your sister always like this? " Caleb asked to me and I nodded in response. " We need to book a appointment with the doctor, " I said and Caleb stroked my hair. " Okay then, maybe Leah is going to do that now. Now, I need to request something about the dorms, " Caleb remarked.

" Why? " I asked to him and I looked at him. " Well, we planned that we wanted a three bedrooms dorm. Two will be like big bedrooms and one is small. The one of the two big ones, will be ours and the other is for Leah and Aisha. The small one is for Elle, " He explained and I knew Elle could never be mean or rude. I saw her get bullied sometimes, but her friends come to save her. So I think she will be nice to us, I mean I guess.

" So this plan, is that it? " I asked to Caleb and he looked down at me. " Well, we just finished step one of the plan which was curing you, the next step is get the request to the dean and then there is more to the plan than I remember. I don't want to keep ranting the plan, " I wanted to hear the rest of the plan.

" But I do want to hear the rest, " I protested, " Okay, don't tell me I warned you. This is a very long plan."
